The Boomerang Theatre Company (Tim Errickson, Artistic Director; Sue Abbott, Managing Director), in collaboration with Big Fish Big Pond Productions, will present a workshop of the new musical LOVELESS, TEXAS October 29th-November 4th. LOVELESS, TEXAS has music and lyrics by Henry Aronson (Broadway's ROCK OF AGES) and libretto by Cailin Heffernan (Boomerang's Venus Observed, ANNA CHRISTIE). The workshop will culminate in a private industry only presentation on November 4th at The Peter J. Sharp Theater (416 West 42nd Street). Heffernan will direct the workshop. (more...)

MINETTA STREET PRODUCTIONS is pleased to announce the extension of the one-man, multimedia musical SAINT HOLLYWOOD, featuring comedian WILLARD MORGAN with music and lyrics by WILLIARD MORGAN and book by WILLARD MORGAN & JERROLD ZIMAN. The production is directed by JIM MILTON. The production began previews Thursday, January 28th and opened Thursday, February 4th. The current performance schedule is Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 7:00 pm through February 20th. Extended performance schedule is Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:00 pm through March 20th. The production is also the inspiration for the art installation STUFF - THE GARAGE SALE OF DREAMS which will be displayed in the Ideal Glass Gallery. All tickets are $10.00. Robert Portal makes a welcome return to the role of Richard Hannay in Patrick Barlow's adaptation of The 39 Steps, directed by Maria Aitken, currently in its third year at the Criterion Theatre. On Monday 2 February he joined the current cast members Tessa Churchard, Alan Perrin and Nigel Betts in this hilarious 100 minute whodunnit. Robert Portal first played Hannay from April to October 2007. Since that time the production has enjoyed incredible UK and international success and he returns to a role which is currently played by 14 actors in as many countries across the world. (more...)
