The Award winning Epic Theatre Ensemble, now in their 11th year, will present two Off Broadway shows in repertory for their Fall Season. Dispatches From (A)mended America, directed by Ron Russell previews October 10th through 17th and opens on Thursday, October 18th. Hold These Truths, directed by Lisa Rothe, previews October 12th though 20th and opens Sunday, October 21st. They will be performed at the Theater at the 14th Street Y (344 East 14th Street). Both productions were developed at Epic. There will also be post-show discussions following each performance. J. B. Priestley's 1938 farcical comedy, set in 1908, is about three couples who married on the same day in the same church, who learn on their twenty-fifth anniversaries that they aren't legally married at all, sending them into a tizzy of spousal re-evaluation. The play is full of funny lines, and is a first-rate screwball comedy - but this hilarious Yorkshire farce has more going on in it than this premise would indicate, because, after all, this is a play by J. On March 3, 2013, Epic Theatre Ensemble held their Annual Gala, Remix: Mix It Up With Epic. The event was held at the McKittrick Hotel, home of Sleep No More. This year's honoree was Tony Award-Winning actor Richard Easton. Highlights of the evening included performances from high school students in Epic's Shakespeare Remix program (winner of the the 2009 National Arts & Humanities Youth Program Award); the live fundraising auction with celebrity auctioneer Gordon Elliottand the funny and heartfelt tribute to Easton by Ethan Hawke and Aaron Krohn (currently appearing together Off-Broadway in Clive). Original Play PRESSURE by David Haig Set to Premiere on 5/31

Pressure is a new play by David Haig, who also features in the cast as Dr James Stagg. Pressure tells the little-known but true story of Dr James Stagg, a Scottish meteorologist summoned to the Allied Headquarters in Portsmouth to advise General Eisenhower. The Award winning Epic Theatre Ensemble announces post performance forums lead by scholars, authors, and entertainers, immediately following several performances of RICHARD III: BORN WITH TEETH at the Pershing Square Signature Center. The production, directed by Ron Russell, begins performances Tuesday, April 16, opens on Saturday, April 20th and continues through Saturday, May 4th. RICHARD III: BORN WITH TEETH begins previews Tuesday, April 16th.
