For the second year in a row, Forward Flux will present two new plays in the same theatre, allowing audiences to choose one, or see both in one night with show times at 7pm and 9pm. At its basic essence, a play tells a story. But when the audience has difficulty understanding the story and the language, the message, no matter how poignant or powerful, is lost. The Wedding Gift, a world premiere play at the Contemporary American Theater Festival, is a visual feast for audience members, but due to the storytelling method, many audience members are unable to understand the imaginative story. Civic Theatre Announces Winners of 4th Annual Northeast Indiana Playwright Festival

The 4th Annual Playwright Festival will be held May 31 - June 2, 2013 at the Arts United Center and the Fort Wayne Museum of Art (adjacent at 303 & 311 E. Main Street, Fort Wayne, IN). The featured play will be Lombard by Michael B. Druxman, starring Jessica Butler as screen legend Carole Lombard. The featured play opens Friday, May 31 at 8pm and will also be performed during the festival on Sunday, June 2 at 2pm (with post-show discussion featuring playwright Michael B. Druxman). After ending 2015 with the hit production of Green Whales by Lia Romeo ('Top Ten of 2015' -David-Edward Hughes), the company will be presenting Romeo's newest play, Ends of the Earth as part of The Flux Salon series.
