TLC Orders Two New Series Following FLDS Escapees
by TV News Desk - Sep 25, 2013

The FLDS religion remains one of the most secretive communities in America, a world of unquestioned authority, arranged marriage, and little contact to the outside world. BWW Reviews: Greenway Court Rings THE BELLS OF WEST 87TH
by Don Grigware - Sep 10, 2013

Sitcom, from TV to stage, is primarily the first impression of Elin Hampton's The Bells of West 87th, now onstage at the Greenway Court Theatre through October 13. Hampton comes from TV and most writers of that genre can easily get 'trapped' - like Molly in the play - into the oh so familiar situations, and the fast/clean/neat comedic setups that we are used to seeing on the tube. There's one exception here, one big one, in fact: Hampton's characters as played by a vibrant cast are far more eccentric than usual and grab us deliciously from the start. (more...)

This play, written by Canadian playwright John Murrell, and directed by Diana LeBlanc, tells the story of an unlikely bond that develops between a professor (Martha Henry) and a struggling university student (Luke Humphrey) as they explore Shakespeare's OTHELLO and slowly begin to learn more about one another in the process. This show not only provides a master class in acting, but a master class in OTHELLO as well. It is both poignant and funny and it is sure to leave the audience reflecting on important moments from their own lives (happy or sad) and the people who have left an impact on them over the years.
