Alley Theatre Artistic Director Gregory Boyd announces the cast and creative team for Alan Ayckbourn's science fiction comedy Communicating Doors. Eleven plays penned by Alan Ayckbourn have been produced by the Alley, including the American premiere of Henceforward, directed by Ayckbourn, in 1987 and House & Garden in 2002. Alan Ayckbourn has been inducted into the American Theatre's Hall of Fame, received the 2010 Critics' Circle Award for Services to the Arts, became the first British playwright to receive both Olivier and Tony Special Lifetime Achievement Awards and was knighted in 1997 for services to the theatre. Bergen County Players to Present TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, 3/22-4/12

Bergen County Players continues its 'From Page to Stage' season with Christopher Sergel's adaptation of Harper Lee's Pulitzer Prize-winning landmark American classic 'To Kill a Mockingbird' beginning Saturday, March 22nd and concluding Saturday, April 12th. This timeless tale of innocence and tolerance follows the journey of a young white girl whose father has been appointed to defend a black man framed for a crime he claims he did not commit. Performed at the Little Firehouse Theatre in Oradell, the drama provides a poignant look at justice and the human spirit, as told through the eyes of a young girl learning the mysteries and realities of adulthood. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 pm ($20) and Sundays at 2:00 pm ($16). The celebratory season kicks-off with the current Off-Broadway hit The Commons of Pensacola, which is expected to be the first regional production. The season continues with Agatha Christie's mystery The Mousetrap, which is the world's longest-running play. Playwright Bruce Graham (Stella & Lou, The Outgoing Tide) returns to Northlight for the World Premiere of White Guy on the Bus. Shining Lives: A Musical, based on Melanie Marnich's play, commissioned by Northlight and written by Jessica Thebus (book & lyrics), Andre Pluess and Amanda Dehnert (music) will make its World Premiere in the Spring. Arvada Center Artistic Producer Rod A. Lansberry has announced the cast for The Mousetrap by Agatha Christie. The Mousetrap directed by Pat Payne, will run in the intimate Black Box Theater January 28 - February 23, 2014. Performances are Tuesday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday at 1:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Due to popular demand three 1:00 p.m. matinees have been added on Thursdays, February 6, 13 and 20.
