Disney Theatrical Productions today announces public on sale dates for their new production of Frozen in London's West End. The production will reopen the newly refurbished Theatre Royal Drury Lane, with previews commencing in October 2020. With music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, and book by Jennifer Lee, Frozen a?' directed by Michael Grandage - opens for priority booking late January 2020, with general on sale on 6 March 2020. Two visionary talents, playwright Jack Thorne (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) and director Matthew Warchus (Matilda), offer a magical new interpretation of Charles Dickens' classic story, starring Campbell Scott ('House of Cards,' Dying Young) as Ebenezer Scrooge. Beginning previews on Thursday, November 7 at the Lyceum Theatre (149 West 45th Street), with the opening night set for Wednesday, November 20, A Christmas Carol will play a strictly limited engagement through Sunday, January 5, 2020 only.

Irish author Conor McPherson's play The Seafarer is a black comedy set over the course of a long evening of family, friends, and drink one Christmas Eve in Dublin. The play centers on James "Sharky" Harkin, who has recently returned to Dublin and moved in with his older, quarrelsome sibling Richard. As guests drop by, drinks start to flow, stories are retold, and secrets begin to emerge as Sharky has to deal with one friend who seems to be staying on permanently, rather than return home to his own family, and another who is now the partner of his ex-wife, and with whom, annoyingly, he seems very happy.

I didn't know it was possible for a play this bloody to be so funny. Martin McDonagh's The Lieutenant of Inishmore is a dark comedy about terrorism and violence set in Ireland in 1993. When Irish National Liberation Army member Padraic finds out his beloved cat is poorly, he immediately heads home only to find the cat already dead and violence ensues. It's an enthusiastically gory piece that isn't for the faint of heart.

A deep, painful, joyful story about one extended California family with roots in different parts of the world, who make their home on the same plot of Southern California land over 150 years. Los Angeles native and Mexican-American playwright, Evangeline Ordaz, crafts a rich and complex web of diverse characters from Los Angeles' Latino, African-American, Anglo, and Native American communities who co-exist as if time were a wheel that constantly doubles back on itself. Through triumph and despair these families discover how deeply they are rooted in the dreams of their ancestors and the land on which they stand.
