Center Theatre Group (CTG) announced today the North American premiere of Stephen Sondheim’s Old Friends, starring Bernadette Peters (Gypsy, Annie Get Your Gun) and Lea Salonga (Miss Saigon, Here Lies Love), and directed by Sir Matthew Bourne (Swan Lake, My Fair Lady), playing at the Ahmanson Theatre from February 8—March 9, 2025.

African American Voices II includes Margaret Bonds' Montgomery Variations (1964), Ulysses Kay's Concerto for Orchestra (1948), and Coleridge-Taylor Perkinson's Worship: A Concert Overture (2001) and will be released worldwide on Linn Records on October 13, 2023 (digital) and October 20, 2023 (CD).

This week, it was our pleasure to attend the premiere of Kurt Weill’s Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny at our esteemed Grand Théâtre of Luxembourg. This controversial play from 1930 narrates the moral decline of a city oriented towards little more than hedonism and debauchery, where self-indulgence is the only voice that matters.
