The Metropolitan Opera will open its 2022–23 season with the company premiere of Cherubini’s masterpiece Medea Tuesday, September 27, 2022. Following triumphant performances at the Met as some of the repertory’s most dramatic heroines, Sondra Radvanovsky sings Medea for the first time, taking on the tour-de-force role made famous by Maria Callas.

The Michael Grandage Company announced that their production of Orlando opens at the Garrick Theatre on 5 December 2022, with previews from 25 November, and runs until 25 February 2023. 

Jonathan Groff will star as “Franklin” and Lindsay Mendez will star as “Mary” in Merrily We Roll Along at New York Theatre Workshop. Merrily We Roll Along features music & lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, and a book by George Furth. They join the previously announced Daniel Radcliffe, who will star as “Charley”.

The Michael Grandage Company has announced that Emma Corrin will return to the London stage as the title role in Orlando, from the novel by Virginia Woolf in a new version by Neil Bartlett. Michael Grandage directs, reuniting him with Corrin, following their recent collaboration on the feature film My Policeman for Amazon.

The Gift Theatre has launched its 2020 Season with a revival of Martin McDonagh's masterpiece THE PILLOWMAN, directed by Laura Alcalá Baker, playing February 27 a?" Dreams are in short supply on the island of Inishmaan, especially for Billy Claven, orphaned and crippled since birth. Antaeus Theatre Company presents The Cripple of Inishmaan, a darkly comic Irish yarn by master storyteller Martin McDonagh. Steven Robman directs a partner-cast ensemble for a Jan. 24 and Jan. 25 opening (one opening night for each cast) at the Kiki & David Gindler Performing Arts Center in Glendale, where performances continue through March 11. Low-priced previews begin Jan. 17.

New Repertory Theatre presents the New England Premiere of We Will Not Be Silent, the docudrama by playwright David Meyers. Directed by New Rep Artistic Director Jim Petosa, the production runs October 13 through November 4, 2018 in the main stage theater at the Mosesian Center for the Arts, 321 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA.
