THE LILIES OF THE FIELD Comes to Open Window Theatre This Spring. The production is adapted for the stage by F. Andrew Leslie from the novel by William E. Barrett, and is directed by Kari Steinbach.

The 23rd Season will include blockbuster musicals The Addams Family, 9 to 5, and Million Dollar Quartet, a time-honored holiday tradition in A Christmas Carol, and a new winter series including a concert version of The Music Man and a debut cabaret created by Michael Ingersoll, Artist’s Lounge All-Stars.

The French Institute Alliance Fran aise (FIAF), New York's premier French cultural and language center, today announced the 2019 Crossing the Line Festival, featuring 11 performances and a gallery exhibition from a geographically, generationally, and artistically diverse group of artists whose work transcends genres and boundaries. All performances are world, US, or New York premieres; they are united by their convention-breaking fearlessness as they confront topics from social injustice to personal demons. Many of the performances pay homage to legendary artists of our time and previous eras, while the theme of migration and its transformational effects on identity informs several others. Goode Productions will present the World Premiere of AMP, a solo horror piece written and performed by Jody Christopherson, directed by Isaac Byrne (The Other Mozart; In Vestments) at HERE (145 Avenue of the Americas, entrance on Dominick Street, one block south of Spring Street), December 5-19.

ABC Family gives fans of Woody, Mike and the rest of the Disney•Pixar gang a big dose of the warm fuzzies with its yearly "Countdown to 25 Days of Christmas" programming celebration, airing Sunday, November 22 - Monday, November 30. ABC Family is becoming Freeform in January 2016.

At its best, GUYS AND DOLLS will transport you to another time and place. A place where career criminals wear colorful, oddly-patterned suits; speak with humorous, but non-descript accents; and live lives in which their marker is their more sacred than gold. This place is called Runyonland. Unfortunately, as entertaining as Rollins College's production of this classic 'Musical Fable' is, it rarely ever rises to the Runyonland level. Running through Sunday, April 26th at the Annie Russell Theatre, Rollins' GUYS AND DOLLS is enjoyable, and again affirms why the program is one of the most consistent theatre companies in Central Florida, but lacks the joy and whimsy that makes GUYS AND DOLLS one of the greatest examples of the American musical theatre.

Legendary singer, songwriter, actor and activist Harry Belafonte will be honored with the 97th Spingarn Medal at the NAACP Spingarn Dinner, February 15th at 7:30 p.m. The ceremony will take place during the NAACP Annual Board Meeting at the New York Marriot Marquis Hotel.

Ned Wertimer, a versatile and prolific character actor who was perhaps best known as Ralph the Doorman for 11 seasons on TV's The Jeffersons, has died, it was announced today by his long time manager Brad Lemack. Wertimer passed away on January 2nd at the Sherman Village Health Care Center, outside of Los Angeles, from complications following a fall in his Burbank home in late November. He was 89.

Johnny Carroll returns to his home county this December to perform a very special pre-Christmas concert in Roscommon Arts Centre on Saturday 8th December. Nicknamed The Man with the Golden Trumpet, Johnny Carroll is a native of Castlerea who has had many decades of working in show business both as a solo performer and also fronting The Premier Aces and The Magic band.
