According to the show, itself, the musical '[title of show],' yes, that's the title of the show, which is now appearing on stage at Beck Center's Studio Theater, was conceived when one of the script's authors received an announcement about a musical festival. The New York Musical Festival, to be exact. The NYMF was in search of new musical scripts. (more...)

Writers Writing About WritersWriters Writing About Writers
by Roundabout Theatre Company - Nov 18, 2014

To write a play in which the first scene was written by a character in the second scene, Stoppard's protaganist would necessarily have to be a playwright, a fact that left Stoppard in a state of dread. 'I didn't want to write a play about a playwright. That seemed to be the end of the rope: you write a play about someone who's trying to write a play.' (more...)

by Carrie Dunn - Mar 7, 2015

All the other reviews I've read of this play are prefaced with a little note that the critic isn't a professional wrestling fan, and they go on to use terms such as 'bonkers' or 'far-fetched' to describe it. Well, I am a professional wrestling fan (I've even written a book about it), and 'Lardo', while funny and surreal in places, is very much rooted in life. (more...)

Not impossible. It's more than a mantra for entrepreneur-visionary-humanitarian Mick Ebeling, whose practical solutions to real-world problems have changed lives.
