by Katie Laban - May 9, 2016

Michigan native Teri Hansen loves performing in The Sound of Music because the audiences are just as emotionally involved in the show as she is. BWW Review: Laughs Abound in Sarah Ruhl's Frothy Backstage Farce STAGE KISS at the Geffen Playhouse
by Shari Barrett - Apr 16, 2016

I have long been a fan of plays that present an insider's look at what goes on behind-the-scenes at a theatrical production. A fine example of such a backstage farce is Sarah Ruhl's STAGE KISS, skillfully directed by Bart DeLorenzo who knows exactly how to make the most outrageous stage antics and romances seem not only probable but incredibly hysterical thanks to Sarah Ruhl's fast-paced script that leads us on-stage, back-stage and out the Stage Door as reality collides with fiction in this raucous and revealing relationship comedy. BWW Blog: FIDDLER ON THE ROOF's Ben Rappaport- They're People. Just Like Us.
by Guest Blogger: Ben Rappaport - Apr 13, 2016

I must have been an incredibly naive 12 year old. As my family and I were leaving the Marriott Marquis Theatre after a performance of the revival of Annie Get Your Gun, we passed by the Stage Door. A hoard of people were crowded behind the barricades, eagerly clutching their playbills, sharpies, and cameras in hopes to snag an autograph or photo with Bernadette Peters and Tom Wopat. We were watching from across the street. A security person was guarding the door, and would escort Bernadette and Tom as they made their way through the crowd, greeting their fans. Once they were done, they each got into the back seats of their respective black Lincoln town cars and rode off into the night. What I couldn't wrap my head around, at the time, was....where do they go? (more...)
