Musical Adaptation of A MAN OF GOOD HOPE to Play the Baxter Theatre's Flipside Venue

The Young Vic is teaming up with the Royal Opera House, the Repons Foundation and the Isango Ensemble to bring a musical inspired by one refugee's true story to the Baxter Theatre Centre's Flipside venue this August. A MAN OF GOOD HOPE is based on the book by Jonny Steinberg and has been adapted for the stage by the Isango Ensemble under the direction of Mark Dornford-May. (more...)

Performing together for the past 35 years, the dynamic and mesmerizingAuryn Quartet makes its Segerstrom Center debut on Tuesday, October 11in Samueli Theater for an evening of chamber music that The Cleveland Plain Dealer declares, “[is] in the European tradition that blends elegance of sound with seamless phrasing and clarity of detail.” Having recorded all 68 of Haydn's quartets, naturally the evening will include a selection by the composer, Haydn's String Quartet Opus 77/1 G Major. 2016 Jadin Wong Dance Award Fellow Announced

Jesse Obremski, a Juilliard graduate, has been selected the 2016 Jadin Wong Dance Fellow in Dance. This is the third year the Asian American Arts Alliance has administered this award on behalf of the New York Community Trust. The fellowship goes to an Asian American dancer/choreographer who is age 30 or under and is based in New York City.
