Young Vic Announces Casting for ONCE IN A LIFETIME and TRADE - and Two New Shows in 2017

Award-winning comedian, actor, writer and director Harry Enfield will play Hollywood studio boss Glogauer in Richard Jones' production of Once in a Lifetime from 25 November in the Young Vic's Main House. Joining Enfield in the company are Daniel Abelson, Claudie Blakley, Okorie Chukwu, Lucy Cohu, Lizzy Connolly, Buffy Davis, Otto Farrant, Amy Griffiths, Amanda Lawrence and John Marquez. Further casting is still to be announced. Joe Hill-Gibbins returns to the Young Vic and to Shakespeare following his critically acclaimed Measure for Measure in 2015. A Midsummer Night's Dream will play the Young Vic's Main House 17 February - 1 April. Huntington Names New Board of Trustees Officers

The Huntington Theatre Company Board of Trustees names David R. Epstein to the role of Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Sharon Malt to President, Carol B. Langer to Treasurer, and Sherryl Cohen to Clerk. Mr. Epstein and Ms. Malt assumed their new leadership roles at Monday's Huntington Board of Trustees meeting. Mr. Epstein succeeds Carol G. Deane (active in real estate management), Huntington Trustee Chairman since 2010; Ms. Malt succeeds Mitchell Roberts (owner of PR Restaurants LLC, a Panera Bread franchise), President since 2010. Both Ms. Deane and Mr. Roberts will continue to serve on the Huntington's Board of Trustees and Executive Committee. (more...)

This production is a perfect example of why I am enamored with Theatre and Art, and why I am proud to be part of this community. The show not only shared a historical event but gifted us with sharing the power of empathy. The love and selflessness the citizens of Gander and Newfoundland had for all of the foreign travelers is astonishing. The locals 'took in' and fed 6,579 stranded passengers, which was half the size of the town's population. (more...)
