Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol is one of those timeless stories that has been told and retold in many different ways. Scrooge! The Musical is a stage musical with book, music, and lyrics by Leslie Bricusse. Its score and book are closely adapted from the music and screenplay of the 1970 musical film "Scrooge" starring Albert Finney. Bricusse was nominated for the Academy Award for the song score he wrote for the film, and most of those songs were carried over to the musical. Some favorites include, "Happiness," "Love While You Can," " The Minister's Cat," and "Thank You Very Much".

BWW Review: LORD at Astral Theater
by Felicitas de la Fare - Apr 9, 2017

A mean old man who keeps every cent he gets his hands on, he denies help to everyone who asks for it, he ignores the existence of his granddaughter and he seems incapable of any human feeling. His vileness is the result of a traumatic episode: the death of his wife and daughter.  Even in the midst of his twilight days, he does not seem willing to change. But it is Christmas Eve and the holiday spirit makes way for miracles to happen.  Lord will be blessed with the opportunity to change, perhaps not to heal his past life but, at least, to improve his remaining days. BWW Feature: Mark and Ryan Kleinman, Living the Dream
by Jeanmarie Simpson - Apr 23, 2017

I am incredibly proud of all my kids and Ryan is pursuing his dream as a performer. He has been performing for quite awhile now as a professional and I have had the idea that this would be so since about his Junior year in High School. I have always taken the time to include my kids (when they have shown an interest) into the shows I was doing. Ryan and his older sister, Kaitlynn, were able to be more inundated with it at a young age as I was more active as a professional performer and they got to be backstage and at rehearsal, and often in shows with me. Whenever I was in a show that needed kids, I got them an audition and, since they were talented, often got cast, so we were able to share the stage. Sound of Music, South Pacific, Music Man, Secret Garden, A Christmas Carol, all shows that my kids been able to share with me. (more...)
