Tony Taylor Launches New Science Fiction Novel Tony Taylor Launches New Science Fiction Novel
by BWW News Desk - May 29, 2015

At a mountaintop observatory in Southern California, spacecraft navigator Harris Mitchel and astronomer Diana Muse-Jones discover a dangerous asteroid which may hit the earth within two decades. As the asteroid tumbles through space towards an uncertain impact, Harris and Diana fight bitterly over how to announce their discovery. When Harris goes public to a skeptical world-at the cost of his and Diana's careers-he sends their already turbulent relationship into a blaze of conflicting passions. As his notoriety builds, a fanatical preacher and his unhinged followers stalk him while an obnoxious radio personality provides disruptive help. Harris becomes an unwilling Pied Piper for his own clueless followers hungry for belief and eager for guidance into an uncertain and tumultuous future. In this science fiction drama, the characters battle each other in contests of Damn your world view! against a background of hard science, religion, romance, metaphysical speculation, and the forces of nature versus human passions and dreams. Meanwhile an asteroid hurtles through the solar system and global Salvation or disaster hangs in the balance. Praise for "The Darkest Side of Saturn": "This extraordinarily well-crafted and deeply thought-provoking novel ... is nothing short of a science fiction tour de force; a courageous and visionary work that is comparable in thematic power to Walter M. Miller, Jr.'s Hugo Award-winning novel A Canticle for Leibowitz." BlueInk Reviews "A scientific prophecy propels this ominous Armageddon thriller. . . . The psychological basis of this mind-spinning tale is a classic messiah complex . . . The trip to the final page is filled with bizarre descriptions and poetic madness. . . .Taylor presents a world teetering on the brink of the blackness of nothing and the lightness of life." Foreword Clarion Reviews "A wild ride . . . Mind-boggling at the end." Kirkus Reviews "The Darkest Side of Saturn" is available in both print and eBook formats. The Lord's Children Release RUPTURE OF RAPTUREThe Lord's Children Release RUPTURE OF RAPTURE
by BWW News Desk - Jun 29, 2015

The Lord's Children announce the publication of their latest book, 'Rupture of Rapture' in their continuing efforts to restore the apostolic teachings and traditions to the 21st Century church. The 'Rupture of Rapture' is a bible study book designed to expose rapture, a concept introduced to the church by dispensational theology and to the world at large via popular books and movies. 'Rapture is deceiving millions as a consequence of bad theology and the impeccable marketing of the concept through popular books and movies,' according to author and bible teacher Michael Bollenbach. 'Dispensational Theology eventually became a mainstream teaching of many congregations and does much harm to Christians reared under it,' says Bollenbach, 'by substituting rapture rather than Christ and the Resurrection as the blessed hope of those who believe.' Dispensational theology came to the United States around 1830 through the Plymouth Brethren movement and John Nelson Darby, James H. Brookes and C.I Scofield who authored the Scofield Reference Bible. According to Bollenbach, 'Dispensationalism turned the Christian world sideways with its departure from the apostolic teachings on faith, grace and hope when when it infused bad theology into Scripture and dislodges and replaces the First Resurrection with rapture.' The 'Rupture of Rapture' examines the God-breathed language of Scripture to demonstrate rapture has no place in biblical Christian theology. Bollenbach concludes by saying, 'Judgment is the inevitable result when Hollywood rather than Scripture become the foundation for beliefs and that consequence is unacceptable to The Lord's Children.' The book specifically examines key words like rapture, caught up, coming and resurrection; phrases like blessed hope, thief in the night and day of the Lord; and passages of Scripture like First Thessalonians, First Corinthians 15 and the book of Revelation with particular attention given to the the warning messages of Jesus to the seven assemblies or churches, the Seven Seals of the Scroll, Wrath of God, Wrath of Satan, Wrath of the Lamb and others using only the bible and a concordance. This process sorts out fiction from fact, apostasy from truth and man-made theologies from God breathed revelation. The book, as the title suggests, claims to debunk rapture and restore the historical teaching of the Blessed Hope of believers to be the Second Coming of Christ Jesus to resurrect and change the dead and the living to immortal life. 'Scripture is replete with the command for believers to be ready and to prepare themselves for the Second Coming of Christ,' says Bollenbach, 'but rapture rather ill-prepares them for such eventuality by teaching they are whisked away to heaven prior to the one and only return of Messiah Jesus.' Regardless of whether you agree or disagree with rapture theology, this is a must read for any serious student of eschatology due to its in-depth exegete of Scripture. The book is available exclusively through Amazon-Kindle. The Lord's Children is a non-denominational, home bible assembly anchored in the historic and apostolic Christian theology of Salvation by grace through faith in Messiah Jesus, His crucifixion and bodily resurrection from the dead after three full days and nights in the grave and His bodily ascension to the right hand of God the Father in heaven. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells all regenerate believers and leads them into obedience to God and good works as the fruit of Salvation. We advocate the New Covenant model of fellowship and discipleship in the homes of believers as taught in Scripture. You may visit our org via our The Lord's Children website. (more...)

New Post Apocalyptic Novel to Release, 7/4New Post Apocalyptic Novel to Release, 7/4
by BWW News Desk - Jun 25, 2015

To be released on 7/4/2015, the novel 'Immortal' is the second of three novels to be published by IONized Publishing Group from Florida Indie Science Fiction Author, Kelvin Kelley. Set in the far future, the story focuses on two young adults, Jericho and Gabrielle, who spend their simple lives in the Village dreaming of their future together, and barely notice the metallic humanoid Guardians that ensure obedience. But when she scans positive for the plague and is permanently sent away to the mysterious Quarantine, Jericho enters a frantic battle to find and save her. Jonah and his wife enjoy their carefree lives in New Sebastian, and Rejuvenation every twenty or so years keeps them eternally young and healthy. But when Jonah discovers the dark secret behind their long and privileged lives, he struggles with the bitter choice of continuing to live his long life or facing the horrific discovery head on. As Jonah helps Jericho and Gabrielle attempt to escape, they find that they are on a predefined path which leads to the last hope for the survival of the human species, and the Salvation of mankind. In a recent interview about Immortal, Kelley says, 'If faced with the extinction of the species, to what ends would we go? Cloning? Robotics? Mind transfer? Forever, it seems that the lowly cockroach has been assigned the role of the ultimate survivor of earth. I disagree. There is no other survival spirit as strong as that of man. The real dilemma is if such an attitude of survival at all costs would be moral. Would our struggle of finding a way to be Immortal, be in fact, immoral?' Immortal will debut on July 4th, 2015, for purchase at your favorite book retailer. Kelley's third book in the three book deal with IPG, VirtuaSacpe, is also available for pre-order, with an announced release date of 11/11/2015. This third science fiction novel will put the age old battle of Christianity and Islam at the forefront. Wife of a presidential candidate, Grace Alexander knows the sacrifices required in a race for the highest office. In a future where candidates face deadly attacks, she reluctantly embraces a new technology that allows her to remotely interact with her family. But when she realizes that her husband may be an imposter, she must choose between her loyalty to him, her family, and the entire country. Last night I had the privilege to go to the 3rd annual FADE TO BLACK playwright's festival. Houston has its share of fringe events, but there wasn't a playwright's festival celebrating the works of black playwrights until Denise O'Neal conceived the FADE TO BLACK festival. In their 3rd year of operation, the FADE TO BLACK festival is on the rise and serves as a platform for the creative voices of black theatre artists of the future. Not only do the playwrights get the chance to show their work, actors and directors have an opportunity to flex their creative muscles.
