RAIN, the acclaimed Beatles concert, returns by popular demand, direct from Broadway! They look like them and they sound just like them! "The next best thing to seeing The Beatles," raves the Denver Post. All the music and vocals are performed totally live! RAIN covers The Beatles from the earliest beginnings through the psychedelic late 60s and their long-haired hippie, hard-rocking rooftop days. RAIN is a multi-media, multi-dimensional experience...a fusion of historical footage and hilarious television commercials from the 1960s lights up video screens and live cameras zoom in for close-ups. "A thrilling bit of time-warping nostalgia...Boomer Heaven!" raves The Fort Worth StarTelegram. "Uncanny! RAIN are a quartet of fine musicians in their own right...as The Beatles, they triumph!: cheers the Boston Herald. "An adoring Valentine to The Beatles," declares the Washington Post. Sing along with your family and friends to such favorites as "Let It Be," "Hey Jude," "Come Together" and "Can't Buy Me Love,: and relive Beatlemania from Ed Sullivan to Abbey Road!

Destination Wedding in ABBA-Land: Mamma Mia! at Hippodrome
by Jack L. B. Gohn - Jan 14, 2017

Mamma Mia! is actually more of a revue than a story-driven show, despite sporting the accouterments of the latter. And none of that mattered a damn to the faithful gathered at the Hippodrome last night. They got what they came for, especially in the curtain call segment where the mask of a story dropped altogether, and the cast just performed three ABBA songs including the inevitable one, Waterloo, which did not even qualify as a reprise. But no one left the auditorium; everyone was on their feet, clapping and singing along. (more...)

Kritzerland at Sterling's Upstairs at The Federal to Present SUPER KIDS THURSDAY
by BWW News Desk - Jan 14, 2017

It's the 74th Kritzerland show and the annual all young performers show - one of the yearly favorites to do. Those who've been to the shows know that one of the things that makes them unique (until everyone else started doing it) is the use of young performers in shows. Kritzerland likes to nurture and be supportive of tomorrow's future musical theater performers, in fact, they feel it is their duty to do so. So, this is the performers' night to shine. But if you think you're going to hear a bunch of kid songs, you won't be. The night is a challenge to the young folks and there will be no pandering to their age - they are given wonderful musical theatre material from the classics to the new, featuring songs from shows they may one day get to do - so, you'll be hearing amazing songs from such classics as Funny Girl, The Music Man, Bells Are Ringing, A Little Night Music, On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, as well as less well known musicals like Minnie's Boys, Andrew Lloyd Webber's Song and Dance, Baby, right up to the Broadway smash, Waitress. Being a Kritzerland show, there will also be a few surprises. So join this incredible cast of young folks and catch these young people before they're on Broadway. Kritzerland is produced and hosted by Bruce Kimmel and co-produced by Doug Haverty.  (more...)
