With only a rat named Mr. Bohemia to keep them company the two women are trapped in an abandoned cabin in the woods by an impending thunderstorm. Following sell-out performances in 2013, Regent's Park Open Air Theatre's acclaimed production of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, adapted for the stage by Simon Reade, returns this year to close the 2016 Summer Season ahead of a major UK Tour in September. Opening at the Churchill Theatre, Bromley, the tour will then visit Norwich, Cambridge, Salford, Leicester, Woking, Truro, Birmingham and Richmond, with further dates in 2017. There will be a press night at the Churchill Theatre, Bromley on Thursday 22 September at 7.30pm. (more...)

George Street Playhouse Artistic Director David Saint has announced the slate of plays scheduled for the New Brunswick theatre's 2016-17 five-play season. George Street's 43rd season begins in October and will feature five extraordinary productions, including: Mama's Boy, a chilling glimpse into the home life of Lee Harvey Oswald; American Son, a Laurents/Hatcher Foundation Award-winner about the racial divide; Joshua Harmon's Bad Jews, a comedic take on family, faith and legacy; and Daddy Long Legs, a romantic musical based on a classic novel. Public Art Installation by Gordon Huether Opens in Morgan Hill

Approximately one year after the Morgan Hill City Council approved two public art installations by internationally recognized artist Gordon Huether, they now adorn the new parking structure between Third and Fourth Streets. Gordon Huether Studio was part of a design and build team that submitted a proposal package in response to the City of Morgan Hill's request for proposals for the parking garage. The design team, made up of Gordon Huether Studio, F+H construction and WMB architects, worked closely with the City of Morgan Hill to ensure a successful project outcome. (more...)

After months of anticipation, the world premiere of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child finally begins previews at the Palace Theatre in the West End this week. The new play is a collaboration between Potter creator J.K. The music is composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber, and the story is based on Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats, by T. S. Eliot. Based on the title, one might assume that Joshua Harmon's 'Bad Jews' is a play more specifically rooted in Judaism that it actually is. While Harmon's play does revolve around several characters vying for a relic from their recently deceased grandfather, the play is actually not about what makes someone a 'Bad' Jew, but more broadly, what makes someone a bad person.
