Looking down at his newly crafted puppet, kindly old Geppetto makes one wish, that Pinocchio could be a real boy. The Blue Fairy appears that night and brings Pinocchio to life, telling him that if he learns to be honest, brave and unselfish, he will become a real boy. And then a fantastic, musical adventure begins, with a marionette show, a sly fox, and boys turning into donkeys. Join Pinocchio as he tries to get out of trouble and learn what it takes to be a real boy.

With his virtuosic band The Immigrants and a pair of sensational singers, Anggelo will create a kaleidoscope of vocal theatrics and poetic storytelling that is both hilarious and touching. Drury Lane Theatre announces complete casting for disco musical Saturday Night Fever, rewritten for the Drury Lane stage, featuring music and lyrics by The Bee Gees, based on the smash-hit Paramount/RSO Film and the story by Nik Cohn, and adapted for the stage by Robert Stigwood in collaboration with Bill Oaks. This North American version was written by Sean Cercone and David Abbinantiand is helmed by Tony-nominated director and choreographer Dan Knechtges. Saturday Night Fever runs January 19 - March 19, 2017 at Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace. The Press Opening is Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. A portion of the opening night tickets sales will be donated to ArtReach, a nonprofit providing access to the arts to underserved communities in the Chicago area. WaterTower Theatre today announced details for the third annual WOMEN IN THEATRE panel discussion.  The event is presented under the auspices of Women of WaterTower Theatre (WOW!) and it is chaired by Jennifer Martinez.  This is the third panel in the series, having already explored the unique perspective of prominent female directors and actors, 2017 will feature The Designers, and it will be held on Monday, February 6, 2017 from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm (with a post-lecture reception in the lobby with the artists). The event will be held in the Canterbury Family Main Stage at the Addison Theatre Centre.  The lecture will be moderated by Dallas arts journalist Lauren Smart, and features Leann Burns, Clare Floyd DeVries, Sylvia Fuhrken Marrs, and Frida Espinosa-Muller.
