Rehearsals began June 2nd for the all-new production of RUTHLESS! The Musical. Broadway lovers (and haters) rejoice, because the funniest and bloodiest musical about what it takes to make a child a star is returning to Off-Broadway! RUTHLESS! is set to begin performances June 25th at St. Luke's Theatre in the heart of the Theater District, with the official Opening Night on Monday, July 13th. Book and lyrics are by Joel Paley and music byMarvin Laird. Joel Paley also directed the original production of RUTHLESS! as well as productions in L.A., South Beach and the record-breaking concert event starring Bernadette Peters. He will once again serve as director of the new production, with Marvin Laird on board as musical supervisor as well. (more...)

She appeared off-Broadway opposite Julie Andrews in Stephen Sondheim's Putting It Together and in the Lincoln Center Theater production of Dessa Rose. Gemeinsam bringen die beiden renommierten Kulturbetriebe Theater St.Gallen und die Vereinigten Buhnen Wien (VBW) im nachsten Jahr das Musical Don Camillo & Peppone auf die Buhne. Der Klassiker - bekannt durch die legendaren Romane und die beruhmten Verfilmungen - wird im April 2016 in der Schweiz Weltpremiere feiern, bevor dann im Herbst desselben Jahres im Wiener Ronacher die Österreichischen Erstauffuhrung uber die Buhne geht. Buch und Liedtexte stammen von Grammy-Preistrager Michael Kunze, dem erfolgreichsten deutschsprachigen Musicalautor, Buchautor, Liedtexter und Übersetzer, dessen Werke mit 79 Goldenen und Platin-Schallplatten ausgezeichnet wurden. Die Musik schrieb einer der prominentesten italienischen Komponisten, Dario Farina - vielen bekannt durch seine Kult-PopSongs wie Felicita oder durch seine viel beachteten Filmmusiken (Rossini). Full casting is announced for the first major London revival of The Cocktail Party in over 25 years, which will be staged in the main auditorium at the iconic Coronet, and marks a transitional moment in the building's redevelopment as the larger space becomes home to the Print Room's eclectic programme. Directed by rising star Abbey Wright, this new Print Room production of TS Eliot's masterpiece plays from 14 September to 10 October, with a cast that includes Helen Bradbury, Richard Dempsey, Hilton McRae, Chloe Pirrie, Christopher Ravenscroft, John Wark and Marcia Warren.
