PASSION, winner of 4 Tony Awards including Best Music and Lyrics, Best Book, and Best Musical, features music and lyrics by the acclaimed Stephen Sondheim (Sweeney Todd, West Side Story, Company, Follies, Into The Woods, Gypsy) and book by James Lapine (Falsettos, Into The Woods, Sunday In The Park With George).

PASSION opened on Broadway in 1994, and received its London revival in 2010 at the Donmar Warehouse as part of Stephen Sondheim's 80th birthday celebrations.

Stephen Sondheim's PASSION revolves around a handsome Italian solider, Giorgio, separated from his beautiful mistress, who is shattered and ultimately changed by the unconditional and obsessive love of Fosca, his Colonel's chronically ill and plain cousin. Her unrelenting passions force him to re-evaluate his beliefs about love and attraction between two human beings.

It was written by Adam Gwon and will be directed by Matthew E. Graber, who is making his San Diego directorial debut. New Philly POPS BIG Band to Debut on 7/4

The new Philly POPS BIG Band will perform its first two shows on July 4 during the Wawa Welcome America Festival. At 10 a.m., the ensemble will play at the City of Philadelphia's July 4 Celebration of Freedom ceremony and parade on Independence Mall. At 7 p.m., the BIG Band will open the city's Wawa Welcome America July 4th Concert and fireworks show on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. NBC10 and Telemundo62 will televise both performances. Jon Washburn Announces Transition at the Vancouver Chamber Choir

After 46 years, the Vancouver Chamber Choir's founder and long-time conductor Jon Washburn is announcing his intent to step down as Artistic and Executive Director to become the professional choral ensemble's Conductor Emeritus. He will continue to lead the Choir through its 47th and 48th concert seasons (2017/18 and 2018/19) while the organization searches for his successor.
