Recounting iconic and deciding moments from his budding career, Jeremy will perform the songs that have defined his swift rise to stardom. Selections include music from Broadway's Newsies, NBC's Smash, and his upcoming film The Last 5 Years, along with many of his own personal favorites. Often more comfortable on stage as a character than himself, this bright young artist will step into the solo spotlight for the very first time to tell us a bit of his own fascinating story. It's often been observed of Shakespeare that his plays don't tell you what he thinks about most subjects. But it is hard to doubt that he believed in romantic love, that mad, intoxicating, all-encompassing feeling that inspires courtship and marriage. Many of his comedies are essentially love delivery vehicles, giddy confections that give the audience an extraordinarily broad license just to roll in the bliss of it. I think especially of Twelfth Night, Much Ado About Nothing, and A Midsummer Night's Dream. But the most love-mad of all is surely As You Like It. And thankfully, that love-mad champagne feeling is served up nearly full-force in the Chesapeake Shakespeare Company's latest rendering of the play. (more...)

The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University, under the leadership of Diane Paulus, Artistic Director and William Russo, Managing Director; announced today the casting for its first production of its 2014/15 Season: the world premiere of the musical Finding Neverland, with music and lyrics by Gary Barlow and Elliot Kennedy, book by James Graham, directed by A.R.T. Artistic Director Diane Paulus with choreography by Mia Michaels, presented at A.R.T. by special arrangement with Harvey Weinstein. The production begins previews at the Loeb Drama Center, 64 Brattle Street in Cambridge, MA on Wednesday, July 23 and runs through Sunday, September 28. The production will be available for press viewing starting Wednesday, August 13. Invitations for press opening will be sent out in late July. (more...)
