BWW Reviews: WE ARE SAMURAI Wanders Wild, Well-Made, And WeirdBWW Reviews: WE ARE SAMURAI Wanders Wild, Well-Made, And Weird
by Alan Katz - Sep 9, 2014

Here's the key: the play takes place in 5 different physical locations within and outside Venus Theater's compound. You, the audience, choose how to experience the play. One could stay in the same location for the majority of the play or follow a particular character around. The best way to experience the play though, is to go wherever you feel like. Is something interesting happening over there? Walk on over. Horrified scream from the kitchen? Best check it out. In this way, We Are Samurai is very much like a mystery, where you try to piece together exactly what is going on and the relationships between the characters. (more...)

by BWW News Desk - Sep 23, 2014

Bigger boat or smaller shark? For organizational leaders who have too much demand for too few employees, this is a legitimate question. They can try to get a 'bigger boat' by adding people - not always practical - or they can attempt to reduce the volume or impact of demand. Moreover, there are strategies for optimizing existing resources many organizations overlook. Those who do nothing face significant risk, according to bestselling author Jerry Manas, who addresses how to tame the 'demand shark' in his latest book, which hits bookstores this week: 'The Resource Management and Capacity Planning Handbook: A Guide to Maximizing the Value of Your Limited People Resources' published by McGraw-Hill Professional. Stephen F. Kaufman Releases Two Book TitlesStephen F. Kaufman Releases Two Book Titles
by BWW News Desk - Aug 7, 2014

Hanshi Warrior Press is pleased to announce the release of two major book titles by Stephen F. Kaufman, the first being 'Homage for Miyamoto Musashi - One Hundred Twenty-two Haiku.' In this brief volume, the author has created a series of haiku in classical 5,7,5 meter to celebrate the most profound sword master, Miyamoto Musashi. The inordinate influence of Musashi, who many consider to be kensei, the sword saint, uniquely taught with firm intention and endeavor the manners, methods, and morés that all of humanity should strive to live by. The second major title released by Hanshi Warrior Press is 'Napoleon Means Business - The Art of Business Based on the Maxims of Napoleon,' a project undertaken by the author to present one of the most illustrious generals in history as a proponent of success in any area of endeavor. Restructuring the words of Napoleon empowers the reader to take advantage of strong military ideals and transform them into business models that have been utilized by other great leaders throughout history. The commonality of the precepts have generally been ascribed to Asian influence, but in this book the Western mentality for venture and success is adroitly used and eliminates the Eastern mindset used as the standard in works of this type. Taking each of the historically accurate maxims accredited to Napoleon, the author explains how to apply the principles of inordinate accomplishment from a commercial perspective in terms easy to understand that anyone can apply to any aspect of their life. Stephen F. Kaufman is an authority on management strategy, reality facilitation training, and a world renowned martial arts master. He provides solutions that empower audiences and corporate clients to turn challenges by demonstrating definitive working techniques guaranteed to bring about advantageous results. (more...)
