BWW Review: Justin Vivian Bond Is 'Golden' in Anniversary Show at Joe's Pub

If this is what the end of the GOLDEN AGE OF JUSTIN VIVIAN BOND looks like, here's hoping for an extension. Before capping off a yearlong celebration of Bond's 25th anniversary of being a performer with a VIVification benefit, v's---Bond's preferred pronoun---GOLDEN AGE was a fever dream, full of charming anecdotes about shared psychoanalysts, spirit guides and Blythe Danner. On the second evening of the show's four-night run earlier this month, Bond's control over the melodic rasp of v's voice was impeccable. More importantly, v displayed an unmatched talent for controlling the space v's in, owning the entire stage with little more than a gentle sway and the tap of a heel, making Bond's all-out performance look effortless. Young Vic Announces Casting for ONCE IN A LIFETIME and TRADE - and Two New Shows in 2017

Award-winning comedian, actor, writer and director Harry Enfield will play Hollywood studio boss Glogauer in Richard Jones' production of Once in a Lifetime from 25 November in the Young Vic's Main House. Joining Enfield in the company are Daniel Abelson, Claudie Blakley, Okorie Chukwu, Lucy Cohu, Lizzy Connolly, Buffy Davis, Otto Farrant, Amy Griffiths, Amanda Lawrence and John Marquez. Further casting is still to be announced. Joe Hill-Gibbins returns to the Young Vic and to Shakespeare following his critically acclaimed Measure for Measure in 2015. A Midsummer Night's Dream will play the Young Vic's Main House 17 February - 1 April. Penobscot Theatre Company's OLIVER! Tickets On Sale October 3rd

On Monday, October 3, Penobscot Theatre Company will make tickets toOliver!, its much anticipated holiday show, available to the general public. The musical by Lionel Bart will run December 1-24 at the Bangor Opera House in downtown Bangor. Previously offered at a discount to subscribers alone, the tickets will be open for purchase through the box office or the theatre's website, regularly priced at $38 for adults and $15 for students.
