OLIVES AND BLOOD Opens 10/2 at Connecticut Repertory Theatre

On October 2, OLIVES AND BLOOD will open on the stage at Connecticut Repertory Theatre, making its regional theatre and Connecticut premiere. The production marks the culmination of a journey that playwright Michael Bradford began nearly a decade earlier. The play explores the mystery surrounding the unsolved murder of the Spanish poet-playwright, Federico Garcia Lorca. Lorca, a promising and polarizing young artist, was disappeared during the Spanish Revolution. (more...)

Emerson Theatre Collaborative (ETC), in association with Black Stars of the Great White Way - a Chapman Roberts and Richard Allen Center for Art & Culture, announces its production of the play, Hour Farther written by David Horace Greer, directed by Camilla Ross, and starring renowned stage and screen actor and singer, Kirk Taylor. Most recently, Mr. Taylor had the honor of working alongside the late Robin Williams and Mila Kunis in the film, The Angriest Man In Brooklyn directed by Phillip Alden Robinson. (more...)

CT Rep Welcomes New Artistic Director

Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) has named Michael Bradford the new Artistic Director beginning in August. Bradford will succeed Vincent J. Cardinal, who is departing at the conclusion of the Nutmeg Summer Series to become the The Arthur and Martha Hearron Endowed Professor of Musical Theatre, Chair of the Department of Musical Theatre and Professor of Music, School of Music Theatre and Dance at the University of Michigan. Bradford will also serve as the Department Head of Dramatic Arts at UConn. (more...)
