Based on Victor Hugo's classic novel, "Les Miserables" is an epic and uplifting story about the survival of the human spirit. The magnificent score of "Les Miserables" includes the classic songs "I Dreamed a Dream," "On My Own," "Stars," "Bring Him Home," "Do You Hear The People Sing?," "One Day More," "Empty Chairs at Empty Tables," "Master of The House" and many more.

Cameron Mackintosh's new production of Boublil and Schonberg's "Les Miserables" has music by Claude-Michel Schonberg, lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer from the original French text by Alain Boublil and Jean-Marc Natel and additional material by James Fenton. The production is directed by Laurence Connor and James Powell, designed by Matt Kinley inspired by the paintings of Victor Hugo with costumes by Andreane Neofitou and additional costumes by Christine Rowlands, lighting by Paule Constable and sound by Mick Potter.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, School of Rock-The Musical, will soon have its World Premiere on Broadway. Previews will begin on Monday, November 2, 2015 at the Winter Garden Theatre, with an opening set for Sunday, December 6. Today, January 24, hundreds of musically gifted children will gather at the Winter Garden for a once-in-a-lifetime chance to join the most famous kid band of all time. An open casting call will be held today, where hundreds of kids will try to rock, whale, strum and drum their way to Broadway glory on the stage of the Winter Garden Theatre (former home, for nearly 18 record-shattering years, to Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats). An additional open casting call for young performers will take place in Chicago on Saturday, January 24 at Actor's Equity Association (557 W. Randolph Street).
