The Lark Play Development Center in collaboration with Mexico's National Fund for Culture and Arts (FONCA) is pleased to announce the 2011 U.S./México Playwright Exchange Program. For the sixth year the Lark will host playwrights from México and pair them with U.S. playwrights, actors, and directors for a ten day cultural exploration which establishes ongoing channels of communication between artists in both countries. This year's partners include Borderlands Theater (Arizona), Repertorio Español (New York), and the Mexican Cultural Institute. (more...)

REPERTORIO ESPAÑOL is pleased to announce the installation of Figaro's Simultext® Captioning System at Repertorio's Gramercy Arts Theater (138 East 27th Street in Manhattan, NY). With the new system, every seat in the theatre will have a display screen showing the dialogue of the performance in English and Spanish. The system will debut at Repertorio's upcoming show, Probation. The installation was made possible by public funds secured by New York State Senator Liz Krueger. (more...)

NightBlue Performing Arts Company, in partnership with ArtoCarpus, proudly presents the Chicago Premiere of 'Clemente: The Legend of 21' opening Friday, August 22 at Stage773, 1225 W. Belmont. This musical, written and directed by the renowned Luis Caballero, tells the tale of struggle and triumph for one of baseball's greatest players, Roberto Clemente. Beginning on the day of his death, this musical chronicles Clemente's life from enduring poverty and racism to becoming an inspiration for generations to come.
