Net revenue for the second quarter ended June 29, 2014 was $337.6 million, as compared to $357.7 million for the second quarter ended June 30, 2013, and $349.4 million in the first quarter ended March 30, 2014. Net income, computed in accordance with GAAP, for the second quarter of 2014 was $14.7 million, or $0.40 per diluted share. This compared to GAAP net income of $14.0 million, or $0.36 per diluted share, for the second quarter of 2013, and GAAP net income of $14.4 million, or $0.39 per diluted share, in the first quarter of 2014. Following last year's acclaimed Public Works production of The Tempest, The Public Theater will continue this community-based initiative this September with a free original musical adaptation of Shakespeare's THE WINTER'S TALE. Featuring more than 200 New Yorkers from all five boroughs performing alongside professional actors and The Public's community partners, Public Works' THE WINTER'S TALE will run for three nights only, September 5-7, at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. This summer, Brooklyn-based Spectacle takes over the Theater at MAD as part of the exhibition NYC Makers: The MAD Biennial, presenting 11 unconventional programs that highlight the organization's cross-disciplinary approach and DIY ethos. A unique voice in the wave of micro-cinemas that have emerged in New York City in the past decade, Spectacle was established in 2010 with only 30 seats in its Williamsburg, Brooklyn Home, and a staff made up entirely of volunteers. Demand Media and Rightside Group to Announce Second Quarter 2014 Financial Results on August 7, 2014

On July 15, 2014 Demand Media announced that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission declared the Rightside Group, Ltd. (“Rightside”) Registration Statement on Form 10 effective. Demand Media is expected to complete the separation of its domain name services business, Rightside, into a separate company through a tax-free dividend involving the distribution on August 1, 2014 of all outstanding shares of Rightside common stock to holders of record of Demand Media common stock as of the close of business, New York City time, on July 25, 2014. Rightside expects to list its common stock on the Nasdaq Global Select Market (“Nasdaq”) under the symbol “NAME” and begin “regular-way” trading the first trading day after the distribution. As a separate public company, Rightside will announce its financial results for the second quarter 2014, after market close on August 7, 2014 and will host a separate conference call to discuss the results at 5:30 p.m. Eastern Time (2:30 p.m. Pacific Time).
