A chance encounter at a hotel plays upon Kitty's mind in the dark comedy Happy Now? by Lucinda Coxon, as she struggles to balance personal freedom with family life, fidelity and a demanding job. Her husband is more interested in misplaced apostrophes than in their marriage, her parents are looking down the barrel of oblivion, and although she toys with the idea of joining a gym, Kitty's running out of time for big changes. Happy Now? dares to ask just that, in this painfully truthful, darkly comic take on contemporary life and how to survive it.

by Kara McCoy - Sep 15, 2015

I think it was Thomas Edison who said that series premieres are 99% anticipation and 1% reservation. Or he would have had he lived to see the dawn of television. There's some truth to that; however, as I found myself counting down the days to the airing of Kurt Sutter's latest FX pilot, I felt like I needed to amend that statement to reflect a more equal distribution of expectation. As a massive SONS OF ANARCHY fan, I was obviously excited to learn that cable TV's favorite bad boy would be hitting our screens again. At the same time, as a massive SONS OF ANARCHY fan, I wondered if THE BASTARD EXECUTIONER could possibly match up to one of the greatest dramas in recent television history (is that too strong? Maybe. But I'm sticking with it.) Did tonight's series premiere provide the answer? (more...)

Philip was happy now that he had his pint of old character and decided to take a shortcut through the graveyard toward home. He paused every now and then to speak to the headstones or crypt of some poor departed soul he had known it better days. Then he heard a moaning. He looked around, spotting a huge mound of earth that he did not remember being there the last time, he took this short cut. Philip decided to look. Microsemi and Sckipio Demonstrate World's First G.fast Reverse Power Feeding at CES
by BWW News Desk - Jan 5, 2015

G.fast is the newly approved ultra broadband standard from the ITU and is expected to deliver up to 1Gbps to consumer residences. This will allow for ultra high speed Internet access as well as support streaming multiple channels of ultra HD TV (4K) concurrently. One of the key elements of G.fast is the ability to deploy it close to the home in locations that don't currently have power for distribution points. Reverse power feeding enables operators to deploy those distribution points in more convenient locations without the need for dedicated AC power, thus allowing for more efficient and lower cost deployments of G.fast. The role of reverse power is central to many fiber-to-the-distribution-point (FTTdp) deployments of G.fast. (more...)
