Cubic (ITMS), a subsidiary of Cubic Transportation Systems, has announced a contract with Transport for London (TfL) worth some $85 million at current exchange rates over the initial six-year term to keep traffic moving in a vital part of the capital. It will maintain and expand the use of intelligent traffic signals, as well as new crossings for pedestrians and cyclists, at strategic points across the city. Transport for London (TfL) has today confirmed the award of its ticketing and fare collection contract, starting in August 2015, to Cubic Corporation's UK subsidiary Cubic Transportation Systems Limited following a competitive tender. The terms of the contract, which are denoted in pounds sterling, are for seven years with a value of over $700 million. It includes an option to extend the contract for a further three years, giving the contract an expected value of over $1 billion. (more...)

Receiving rave reviews during its summer run, Writer/Actor Joe Assadourian's hit Off-Broadway Comedy THE BULLPEN has opened ticket sales through November 22nd, 2014 at The Playroom Theater. The show, which is directed by Richard Hoehler, is largely influenced by Joe Assadourian's experiences having served 12 years in prison for attempted murder. This extension will include a celebratory performance on October 8th, which will mark the first anniversary of Joe Assadourian's release from Otisville Correctional Facility.
