It's the official kick-off to summer, what with the Memorial Day Weekend upon us already - seriously, where did the time go? - and while we're certain your calendar is filled with cookouts, fireworks (we don't save all the sparklers for July 4th do we?) and swimming (if it warms up enough here in frosty Tennessee, where it's in the 50s as I type). But being the theatrical fanatic that we (using either the editorial "we" or the royal "we"…just take your pick) are, we would like to humbly suggest you make your way to the theater in the next few days to get some artistic inspiration. Bruce A. Shields of the Pandemic Dawn Apocalyptic Series Announces Book Signing, 5/23Bruce A. Shields of the Pandemic Dawn Apocalyptic Series Announces Book Signing, 5/23
by BWW News Desk - May 22, 2015

There may be many people writing fiction in the 'future tragedy' space, but few are able to make real connections with their readers. Clearly, author Bruce A. Shields, and his ongoing Pandemic Dawn series is the exception to the rule. Taking place in a near future where a virus has wiped out much of the world's population, and telling the story of a hero who tries to find his son as he faces off against incredible odds, Pandemic Dawn has become a best seller, both online and off. Recently, Shields announced he will be doing a book signing at Alabaster Corner in Tawas City, Michigan on May 23rd, 2015, and is encouraging local fans to come out and say hello. 'It's always great to meet my readers,' commented Shields. 'They are some of the most wonderful people in the world, and without their support there wouldn't be a Pandemic Dawn!' According to the author, in addition to the book signing he will also be a reading a chapter from his latest book, giving a brief artist talk, and taking the time to answer questions. Feedback for the series continues to be passionate. A recent Amazon customer remarked in a five star review, 'As a lover of sci-fi everything, it was good to see a different take on a post-apocalyptic world. It wasn't typical, predictable and it only made me want more. I very much enjoyed this book! This book is filled with surprise and conflict.'
