Brian d'Arcy James, Malcolm Gets and More to Join Ethan Hawke in LCT's MACBETH; Cast Announced!

Lincoln Center Theater, under the direction of Producing Artistic Director Andre Bishop, has announced that Bianca Amato, Shirine Babb, John Patrick Doherty, Austin Durant, Richard Easton, Francesca Faridany, Stephanie Fieger, Malcolm Gets, John Glover, Ben Horner, Ruy Iskandar, Brian d'Arcy James, Byron Jennings, Aaron Krohn, Jeremiah Maestas, Christopher McHale, Jonny Orsini, Sam Poon, Triney Sandoval, Nathan Stark, Daniel Sunjata, Patrick Vaill, Tyler Lansing Weaks and Derek Wilson will join Ethan Hawke and Anne-Marie Duff in its upcoming production of Shakespeare's MACBETH, directed by Jack O'Brien. The production, which will feature a cast of 27, will begin previews on Thursday, October 24 and open on Thursday, November 21 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street). (more...)

As BroadwayWorld previously speculated, Brendan Fraser, who's film career includes The Mummy, G.I. Joe, Encino Man, Journey to the Center of the Earth and other films will make his Broadway debut in the Simon Bent play - Elling, Variety reports. The play, which will begin previews at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre on November 2, will open officially on November 21. The production will also star Denis O'Hare, Jennifer Coolidge, and Richard Easton and will be directed by Dough Hughes and produced by Howard Panter. (more...)

The American Theatre Wing and XM Satellite Radio proudly present an interview with Tony Award winning actor, Richard Easton, on their weekly theatrical interview show, 'Downstage Center,' on XM's On Broadway (XM Channel 28). Easton will appear as the special guest on Friday, February 1 at 6 p.m. The show will repeat on Saturday February 2 at noon, Sunday, February 3 at 7 p.m., and Wednesday, February 6 at midnight. Public's Shakespeare in the Park Presents 'Hamlet' with Easton & Stuhlbarg

The Public Theater announced today that it will open the 2008 Shakespeare in the Park summer season with Artistic Director Oskar Eustis directing Hamlet. Hamlet will star Tony Award nominee Michael Stuhlbarg in the title role with Tony Award winner Richard Easton as Polonius.
