The Broadway League and The Coalition of Broadway Unions and Guilds (COBUG) just welcomed Tony Award winner Bebe Neuwirth as host for the seventh annual BROADWAY SALUTES event last night, September 29, 2015. The event included special guest performances by Nikki M James, Nathaniel Hackmann, Sydney Lucas and Jake Lucas who each performed a song from three shows that opened the year the BROADWAY SALUTES honorees entered the business. In this industry-wide public celebration, theatre professionals received special recognition for having worked 25, 35 and 50+ years on Broadway for their valuable contributions to the business. The musical, a collaboration of music, dance and theater giants Leonard Bernstein, Stephen Sondheim, Jerome Robbins and Arthur Laurents, is considered by some to be one of the greatest musicals of all time.
