Hotel Nikko San Francisco and Michael Feinstein announced today that Tony Award winner LaChanze will bring her acclaimed show Love Hangover: LaChanze Sings Diana Ross to Feinstein's at the Nikko for two performance only - Friday, December 20 at 8 p.m and Saturday, December 21 at 7 p.m. In a salute of a woman who broke barriers and challenged stereotypes throughout her legendary career, Love Hangover will feature such legendary songs as "Love Hangover," "Do You Know Where You're Goin' To?," "Endless Love," "Good Morning, Heartache" and more! Eleven plays penned by Alan Ayckbourn have been produced by the Alley, including the American premiere of Henceforward, directed by Ayckbourn, in 1987 and House & Garden in 2002. Alan Ayckbourn has been inducted into the American Theatre's Hall of Fame, received the 2010 Critics' Circle Award for Services to the Arts, became the first British playwright to receive both Olivier and Tony Special Lifetime Achievement Awards and was knighted in 1997 for services to the theatre. Possum's Dreamers United Stages SOUTHERN GIRLS This Weekend

Dreamers United, affiliate of the Possum Point Players is excited to present Southern Girls by Sheri Bailey and Dura Temple, this weekend, February 21st through the 23rd. Southern Girls follows six ladies from childhood (circa 1952) through middle age. In a small town a few hours outside Birmingham, Alabama, six girls, three white and three black, play together. As the girls grow, the invisible line dividing their worlds becomes ever more pronounced. (more...)

Choreographers Camille A. Brown, Gabrielle Lamb, and Rashaun Mitchell and Silas Riener, who will be working together, have been awarded New York City Center's 2014 Choreography Fellowships. The Fellowship supports choreographers at critical stages in their careers and reflects City Center's long history of nurturing dance makers, from George Balanchine to Christopher Wheeldon. Alley Theatre Artistic Director Gregory Boyd announces the cast and creative team for Alan Ayckbourn's science fiction comedy Communicating Doors. Eleven plays penned by Alan Ayckbourn have been produced by the Alley, including the American premiere of Henceforward, directed by Ayckbourn, in 1987 and House & Garden in 2002. Alan Ayckbourn has been inducted into the American Theatre's Hall of Fame, received the 2010 Critics' Circle Award for Services to the Arts, became the first British playwright to receive both Olivier and Tony Special Lifetime Achievement Awards and was knighted in 1997 for services to the theatre.
