In what has become an annual ritual, a total of 32 established and emerging composers, lyricists, and librettists will converge on the Goodspeed campus from mid-January through mid-February 2017 to participate in the Johnny Mercer Foundation Writers Colony at Goodspeed Musicals. The writing teams, representing 18 new musicals, will populate the campus, creating a truly exciting environment for discovery and inspiration.

The Play Company (PlayCo)'s Founding Producer Kate Loewald announced today that fellow Executive Producer Lauren Weigel will step down from her position on June 30, 2016. The Play Company will begin the search for a new team member this week. Under Lauren Weigel's leadership as Executive Producer, PlayCo has become the only New York theater to regularly produce international contemporary plays alongside new American work.
