When young, American Alice follows a mime into an elevator, she finds herself in a strange new world. Loosely inspired by Chagall's Paris Through The Window, Alice encounters two little runts with very sticky fingers and a very naughty Queen. She runs her first Caucus Race and meets a deck of characters that seem familiar and new at the same time.



After a successful run at The SoHo Playhouse in June of 2011, Alice... (formerly Alice Au Pays Des Merveilles) was selected as an open-ended children's theater project for the playhouse. Playing every Saturday at 1pm, children and adults will be enthralled with Alice's curiouser and curiouser adventure.



Stretching the limit of our imaginations and creating an entirely new Wonderland, the production features a cast of ten actors doubling as the many characters of Lewis Carroll's classic story.

Howard Davies will direct Steve Waters' new play TEMPLE, a fictionalised account of the events that took place during the 2011 Occupy demonstration outside St Paul's Cathedral. Simon Russell Beale will return to the Donmar stage to play the Dean having previously starred in The Philanthropist, Twelfth Night and Uncle Vanya (for which he won the 2003 Olivier Award for Best Actor). The final recording and complete box set of The Nielsen Project - the New York Philharmonic's acclaimed multi-season survey of the six symphonies and three concertos by Danish composer Carl Nielsen (1865-1931) - will be released June 9, 2015, coinciding with the 150th anniversary of the composer's birth. The final recording features Nielsen's complete concertos: the Flute Concerto with Principal Flute Robert Langevin, Clarinet Concerto with Principal Clarinet Anthony McGill, and Violin Concerto with Danish violinist Nikolaj Znaider. Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts (LCPA) raised a record $10.4 million last night at its Spring Gala honoring Hearst Corporation, as announced by Katherine Farley, chair of Lincoln Center. The event, attended by more than 500 people, lauded Hearst President and CEO Steven R. Swartz, and Executive Vice-chairman and former CEO, Frank A. Bennack, Jr. for the enormous and varied contributions to Lincoln Center made by them as well as by their company. Both men serve on Lincoln Center's Board of Directors; Mr. Bennack was chairman of Lincoln Center from 2005 through 2010, and Mr. Swartz is currently chairman of Lincoln Center's Corporate Fund. Co-curators Stephen Burns and Augusta Read Thomas announce Ear Taxi Festival, a four day festival of new music taking place in Chicago from October 6-9, 2016. Ear Taxi Festival will be Chicago's first large-scale, nationally recognized festival of new music, with plans to present 41 world premieres, one Chicago premiere, two U.S. premieres, four sound art installations, the work of 70 Chicago-based composers, and performances by 16 Chicago-based ensembles. The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust is pleased to announce a new programming initiative, for children ages 7 and up, the Bridge Theater Series will feature professional productions staged by award-winning national and international companies known for their quality and imaginative work. The 2015-2016 inaugural season of the Bridge Theater Series will include a mix of productions based on popular books, current issues and topics, and historical events. The aesthetic will be young, contemporary, thought-provoking, technology-infused, imaginative and challenging. Performing arts companies from the United States and around the globe including India, Peru, the Netherlands, and Scotland will grace various stages in Pittsburgh's downtown Cultural District. Two of the productions in this new series, Titus by Macrobert Arts Centre (Scotland) and Short Stories by Teatro Hugo e Ines (Peru), will take place during the 2016 EQT Children's Theater Festival (May 12-15, 2016). The two-day event will take place in Austin at the JW Marriott, June 15th and 16th, 2015. The Summit is the only annual community health event of its kind designed to motivate and mobilize communities in Texas to engage in healthier lifestyles through innovative tools, presentations and workshops provided by leaders in the health and wellness industry.
