Jennifer Lopez, Kelly Clarkson, Thomas Rhett, Julianne Hough and Hoda Kotb join the growing list of supporters that have participated in United Cancer Front's (UCF) Dance or Donate Challenge, an awareness and urgently needed fundraising campaign. It was created to help UCF continue their mission of finding a cure for cancer using immunotherapy and targeted treatments.

It's been nearly seven years since Americana singer/songwriter Chuck Ragan and his camaraderie of like-minded musicians celebrated his much-adored and lauded REVIVAL TOUR which merged the punk, alternative, and folk worlds and borne a jamboree of music and collaboration.  So it is with excitement and anticipation that Chuck Ragan and Revival Tour alums Dan Andriano (Alkaline Trio) and Dave Hause (The Loved Ones) are getting together to put on AN EVENING OF REVIVAL, a one-time “revival” of sorts of the much-missed tour.  Set for Sunday, July 7th at Solana Beach, CA's Belly Up (143 S Cedros Ave, Solana Beach, CA 92075), it proves to be one of the must-attend shows of the season, if not year.

Art enthusiasts gathered last night (May 22) at Montalvo Arts Center for an exclusive members-only unveiling of its 2019-2020 Carriage House Theatre Concert Series line-up. Which is why it's a great choice for right now, if you need a break from the sugary sweet holiday fare. Written in 2005, BLACKBIRD is a brutal play about a woman confronting her abuser, 15 years after he raped and kidnapped her at the age of 12 (she may have gone willingly, but she was still a child). Yes, it's a difficult one to watch, but with painfully real performances by the two-person cast, in the intimate environment of Dark and Stormy's Northeast Minneapolis studio space, it's worth the effort.

Chance Theater, Anaheim's official resident theater company, is delighted to present an encore presentation of Fancy Nancy, The Musical as part of its fourth TYA Family Season. A&E will premiere the original documentary special, 'No Greater Law,' on Monday, September 24 at 10pm ET/PT. Presented by A&E IndieFilms and produced by Pulse Films, the film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and the Sheffield Doc/Fest. 'No Greater Law' explores the struggles between an Idaho-based faith healing community and a Sheriff investigating the deaths of children from the community.

Portland Playhouse kicks off its 11th Season with Will Eno's Wakey, Wakey. Written during Eno's five year residency at New York's Signature Theatre Company, Wakey, Wakey asks What are we here for? Is time a friend or an enemy? Do we all eventually end up in the same place, but take different routes to get there? This funny, moving, and thought-provoking new play challenges the notion of what really matters and recognizes the importance of life's simple pleasures. Linkin Park co-lead singer Mike Shinoda has unveiled his highly-anticipated full-length solo album, Post Traumatic, available now on Warner Bros. Records. The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts will present the 21st annual Mark Twain Prize for American Humor to Julia Louis-Dreyfus on Sunday, October 21, 2018 in the Kennedy Center Concert Hall. The Prize, which is named to honor one of the world's greatest humorists, will be given at a gala performance featuring some of the biggest names in comedy. This year's ceremony marks the 21st consecutive year that the Kennedy Center's marquee comedy award will be presented and broadcast nationally. On-sale and ticketing information for this event will be available at a later date, and sponsorship packages for the Mark Twain Prize gala performance are on sale now.
