The producers of the multi award-winning smash hit Billy Elliot the Musical are delighted to announce that the four boys who will play the title role in the first ever UK and Ireland tour of the iconic musical are Adam Abbou (12 years old from Liverpool),Matthew Lyons (11 years old from Leeds), Haydn May (11 years old from Bath) and Lewis Smallman (12 years old from West Bromwich). The boys were cast following nationwide auditions and after months of intensive rehearsals began alternating in the role following the show's opening earlier in the year.  Billy Elliot the musical opens at The Bristol Hippodrome on Tuesday 25thOctober and runs until Saturday 26th November 2016. IAM Theatre Company has announced its fall production--the National Premiere of Pride and Prejudice - The Musical, to run at the Southside Theatre at Fort Mason Center from September 23rd to October 9th. Pride and Prejudice - The Musical, based on Jane Austen's famous novel, features lyrics and music by Marin County's two-time Emmy Award winning Rita Abrams, with book by best-selling San Francisco author Josie Brown. After a national search, Virginia Stage Company is excited to announce the appointment of Tom Quaintance to the position of Producing Artistic Director. Quaintance will work with the Virginia Stage board and staff over the next few months and begin in full on December 1, 2016. Previously, Quaintance served as the Artistic Director of Cape Fear Regional Theatre, an Associate Artist with PlayMakers Repertory Company and Open Fist Theatre Company, and was the Founder and Artistic Director of FreightTrain Shakespeare in Los Angeles.
