Rack have announced details about their World Premiere staged reading of MYSTERY LIT, adapted by Josephson from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes stories (May 22, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. and May 24, 2014 at 2:00 p.m.) and the World Premiere production of Algernon Blackwood's THE DOLL, adapted by Rack and directed by Millet (July 11-26, 2014; Fridays-Sundays, 7:00 p.m., 8:00 p.m., and 9:00 p.m.). City Theatre Kicks Off MOMENTUM Festival of New Plays This Weekend

City Theatre presents four original plays in MOMENTUM, the theatre's annual festival of new plays at different stages. This year's selection features three of City's favorite alums as well as a distinguished playwright new to Pittsburgh audiences. The play's themes run the gamut from technology and football to history and community. MOMENTUM is a celebration of new theatrical works featuring readings, workshops, panels, and conversation. The festival is a chance for audiences to not only see four new works in their earliest incarnations, but also to get to know the process of creating new plays and to glimpse inside the minds of the playwrights. CRT to Open Summer Season with BOEING BOEING, 6/4-14

Cortland Repertory Theatre kicks off their 43rd season at the Little York Pavilion in Preble with the theatre's premiere production of the hysterical farce Boeing Boeing, written by French playwright Marc Camoletti, and translated to English by Beverly Cross and Francis Evans. Performances will run from June 4th - 14th with evening performances at 7:30 PM. Matinees are available on June 6th, 8th and 11th at 2:00 PM. Tickets may be purchased by calling 800-427-6160 or at the CRT Box Office at 24 Port Watson Street in Cortland.
