Ballet Arizona's All Balanchine lineup includes three mesmerizing ballets by George Balanchine, one of the most important choreographers of the 20th Century. All Balanchine will open with Symphony in Three Movements, and feature Natalia Magnicaballi in two leading roles, The Siren in Prodigal Son, and The Sleepwalker in La Sonnambula in her final performance with Ballet Arizona. All Balanchine will be performed May 3-6, 2018 at Symphony Hall and is staged by Artistic Director Ib Andersen, one of just a handful of artists worldwide authorized by The Balanchine Trust to stage these masterpieces.

SOFIANE SYLVE and TIIT HELIMETS, principal dancers of the San Francisco Ballet, will appear as guest artists in Orchestra Kentucky's Christmas Spectacular dancing The Nutcracker Pas de Deux on December 16, 2017 at the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Due to Hurricane Harvey, Houston Ballet is unable to perform the opening two productions at the company's home venue. However, Houston Ballet is pleased to report that select performances of fall programming have been rescheduled at THE HOBBY CENTER - SAROFIM HALL. For a limited time on October 26 and 27 at The Hobby Center, Houston Ballet will perform an exhilarating mixed repertory program, Poetry in Motion, featuring a collection of three works that reflect different traditions and expressions in ballet.

Works & Process at the Guggenheim announces that Dior will design costumes for the World Premiere of Falls the Shadow, a new 30-minute work made in and for the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum rotunda. Falls the Shadow is spearheaded by American Ballet Theatre (ABT) principal Daniil Simkin, with new choreography by Alejandro Cerrudo, and projection design by Dmitrij Simkin.   

Veronika Part, a Principal Dancer with American Ballet Theatre since 2009, will retire from the Company on the final day of the 2017 Spring season at the Metropolitan Opera House.

Due to extremely high ticket demand, Second Stage Theatre's New York premiere production of Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner Tracy Letts' play, MAN FROM NEBRASKA, has announced a two-week extension after opening to extremely positive reviews on February 15th. The Joyce Theater Foundation, Inc. (Linda Shelton, Executive Director) is proud to present the New York premiere of Daniil Simkin's INTENSIO, a program of works featuring an exceptional company of dancers, including Simkiin's fellow American Ballet Theatre members Isabella Boylston, Alexandre Hammoudi, Blaine Hoven, Calvin Royal III, Hee Seo, Cassandra Trenary and James Whiteside and guest artist Céline Cassone. Featuring works by acclaimed choreographers Gregory Dolbashian, Alexander Ekman, Jorma Elo and Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, this must-see event will take place from January 5-10 at The Joyce Theater. Heightening its role as a powerful commissioning force, Glorya Kaufman Presents Dance at The Music Center - The Music Center's acclaimed dance series - is introducing an exciting new chapter in dance with the world premiere of BalletNow, an original three-performance program for which American Ballet Theatre Principals Roberto Bolle and Herman Cornejo are serving as artistic directors. Bolle and Cornejo have formed an international ensemble of 18 major dancers from 12 foreign countries for three distinctive performances, with many of the dancers performing at The Music Center and in Southern California for the first time.

The production, today, September 30-October 26, reunites the playwright with director Leah C. Gardiner, who worked together on the OBIE Award-winning 2011 production of born bad. generations features a 12-person community chorus led by music director Bongi Duma (The Lion King). The cast includes Shyko Amos (An Octoroon), Mamoudou Athie, Khail Toi Bryant (The Lion King), Ntombikhona Dlamini (Sarafina!), Thuli Dumakude (The Lion King, Poppie Nongena), Jonathan Peck (The Lion in Winter) and Michael Rogers (born bad, Breakfast With Mugabe).

From September 4-14, 2014, Houston Ballet launches its 45th season with the company premiere of John Neumeier's three-act ballet A Midsummer Night's Dream. The ballet is based on Shakespeare's lighthearted play of the same name and follows the hijinks and hilarity that ensues when a well-intentioned plan with a love potion goes awry. Created in 1977, A Midsummer Night's Dream has served as Mr. Neumeier's calling card, being seen as one of his most joyous and popular creations. Houston Ballet is the first American ballet company to perform the famous work and it is the first piece by Mr. Neumeier to enter the Houston Ballet repertoire.
