New York Classical Theatre (Stephen Burdman, Artistic Director), New York City's only all-free professional Off-Broadway theatre company, is pleased to announce a new production of William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet to celebrate its 19th Anniversary Season. The production, directed by Mr. Burdman, is the company's first staging of Shakespeare's tale of star-crossed lovers, and will be presented in five New York City parks - Central Park, Rockefeller Park/Battery Park City, The Battery, Carl Schurz Park and Brooklyn Bridge Park - with performances from June 5 through July 29 at 7:00 PM. There is no ticketing, and all performances are free and open to the public. New York Classical Theatre also invites audiences to experience unique behind-the-scenes access to open rehearsals on selected dates for each of the five park stagings.

Hosted by two-time, Tony-nominated star, Laura Osnes (Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella) and her own Fairy Godfairy, Benjamin Rauhala (musical director extraordinaire), and joined by pals Susan Egan (Tony-nominated for Disney's Beauty and the Beast and voice of 'Meg' in Hercules) and Courtney Reed (original star of Disney's Aladdin on Broadway), you are cordially invited to a Royal Ball filled with stories, sparkle and a bit of sass. Your every dream will come true as three knockout voices sing the petticoats off of every princess song in the book!

Due to a scheduling conflict, performances of The Broadway Princess Party-starring two- time Tony Award nominee Laura Osnes (Cinderella, Bonnie & Clyde), Tony Award nominee Susan Egan (Beauty and the Beast, Thoroughly Modern Millie), Courtney Reed (Aladdin, In The Heights) and music director Benjamin Rauhala-have been moved to Saturday, June 2 (8 p.m.) and Sunday, June 3 (5 p.m.). Customers who purchased tickets for Friday, June 1 will be moved to another performance or issued a refund.

Broadway's Cinderella, two- time Tony Award nominee Laura Osnes, brings a couple of her radiant leading lady friends-Tony Award nominee Susan Egan (Beauty and the Beast, Thoroughly Modern Millie) and Courtney Reed (Aladdin, In The Heights) along with music director Benjamin Rauhala-to Feinstein's at the Nikko on Friday, June 1 (8 p.m.) and Saturday, June 2 (8 p.m.) to create a dazzling evening of musical magic.

Golden Thread Productions, the first American theatre company devoted to the Middle East, presents What Do the Women Say?: Dismantling Patriarchy, its annual celebration of International Women's Day. This year's program showcases the work of leading Middle Eastern women artists that are working to expose and eradicate toxic masculinity at home, at work, and on the national stage. The event features a presentation by Yemeni-American visual artist Yasmine Diaz about her collage series, One Way or Another; a dramatic reading by Golden Thread Resident Artist Atosa Melody Babaoff of the short story "White Torture" by Iranian author Farnoosh Moshiri; a performance by Lebanese-American singer Naima Shalhoub featuring music from her debut album Live in San Francisco County Jail; and an excerpt from the documentary film The Judge by Erika Cohn and Sara Maamouri about the Arab world's first woman Sharia judge. After the presentations, Founding Artistic Director Torange Yeghiazarian will facilitate a conversation with the participating artists and the audience. Reem's California will sell food in the lobby starting at 6pm. The full program is 100 minutes without intermission.

Curio Theatre Company brings audiences into a modern look at one of history's most controversial figues. David Adjmi's Marie Antoinette kicks off 2018 for the West Philadelphia theatre. This contemporary take on the infamous French Queen runs February 14-March 10.  Directed by noted local director Brenna Geffers, this engaging story of excess, artifice, and revolution opens Friday, February 16 at 8 p.m. Most performances are Thursday-Saturday at 8 p.m. Industry Night is Monday, February 19 at 8 p.m.  All performances are held at Curio's home in the Calvary Center for Culture and Community at 4740 Baltimore Ave. Tickets cost $15-$30 and are available online www.curioutheatre.org or by phone at 215-921-8243.

The University of Washington School of Drama will present Sarah Ruhl's adaptation of Orlando by Virginia Woolf, directed by School of Drama Professor and CIVIC REP Artistic Director L. Zane Jones. Set against the backdrop of New York City in the 1960s -women's liberation, the civil rights movement, and protests of the Vietnam war-Cindy searches for her place in the world. A Sign of the Times, featuring chart-topping hits from the 1960s, celebrates friendship, love, and discovering one's sense of self. This pop-fueled musical will run July 29 - September 4 at The Terris Theatre in Chester, Conn. A Sign of the Times will be sponsored by Essex Savings Bank.

The event was a part of RPP's 'Personable', a series of workshops that aims to assist aspiring talent in honing their craft and polishing their audition skills.
