Gift Theatre's OTHELLO Begins Performances Tomorrow

The Gift Theatre's contemporary production of Othello, starring Kareem Bandealy as Othello and artistic director and ensemble member Michael Patrick Thornton as villainous Iago, begins previews this Thursday, July 10. Directed by Jonathan Berry (Dirty), this marks The Gift Theatre's first Shakespeare production ever mounted in its intimate 40-seat theater and Berry's Shakespearean directorial debut. Goodman Theatre's production of Lerner and Loewe's 1947 musical Brigadoon lovingly pays homage to the tradition of classic American musical theatre while also retaining a sense of exuberance and delight. Helmed by director and choreographer Rachel Rockwell, this production does not shy away from spectacle and largely has the talent to back it up. The show preserves Lerner and Loewe's lush music and lyrics with an updated book by Brian Hill that provides an even sense of pacing and storyline. (more...)

Carrus Hospitals Selects Enterprise EHR from MEDHOST

Carrus Hospitals, in Sherman, Texas, about an hour north of Dallas, is comprised of a 16-bed long-term acute care (LTAC) specialty hospital and a 24-bed rehabilitation hospital. Carrus, which opened in 2010, chose MEDHOST because its clinical and financial solutions are fully integrated, and hospital leadership saw that the comprehensive and intuitive system would play a key role in helping streamline operations as the hospital transitions from paper to electronic records. Carrus was particularly attracted to the MEDHOST inpatient electronic health record (EHR). Its Physician Documentation application was developed with direct input from physicians and aligns with existing clinical workflows, which leads to high adoption by physicians. (more...)
