The original 1960's inspired sci-fi musical WILD WOMEN OF PLANET WONGO gets an immersive, dance-party infused production beginning June 11. This theatrical extravaganza will transform the bar and gallery space of Bushwick's Brooklyn Fireproof into Planet Wongo where audience members can dance, interact with sexy alien beings and be part of the show. Wongo is based on a concept by Ben Budick with music by Dave Ogrin, lyrics by Ben Budick, Steve Mackes and Dave Ogrin and a book by Steve Mackes. David Rigano directs. Performances begin June 11. Her new collection of songs - running tonight, May 28 through May 31 - will feature 'Musings of a Chanteuse' and will include standards and songs by contemporary writers for some glamour, torch and comedy. Howard Davies will direct Steve Waters' new play TEMPLE, a fictionalised account of the events that took place during the 2011 Occupy demonstration outside St Paul's Cathedral. Simon Russell Beale will return to the Donmar stage to play the Dean having previously starred in The Philanthropist, Twelfth Night and Uncle Vanya (for which he won the 2003 Olivier Award for Best Actor).
