Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) rings in the New Year with William Shakespeare's romantic comedy As You Like It, staged by CST's Associate Artistic Director Gary Griffin. The acting company for Griffin's lush production includes a host of Chicago Shakespeare favorites who have collectively performed over 100 roles at CST. Among the returning cast members are Kate Fry, performing the role of Rosalind in her seventh appearance at CST; Chaon Cross as Celia in her sixth CST appearance; Matt Schwader as Orlando in his ninth appearance; Phillip James Brannon as Touchstone in his fourth appearance; and longtime collaborators Ross Lehman as Jaques and Kevin Gudahl as Duke Senior, who return to CST to perform their respective 13th and 27th roles. Chicago Shakespeare Theater's As You Like It runs now through March 6, 2011, in CST's Courtyard Theater. Tickets are $44-$75 with special discounts available for groups of 10 or more. All patrons receive a 40% parking discount at Navy Pier garages. Two stars of the stage - Kelli O'Hara and Nathan Gunn -will join the New York Philharmonic for an evening of songs and duets from the Golden Age of Broadway, conducted by Tony Award winner Ted Sperling, Monday, March 21, 2011, at 7:30 p.m. Ms. O'Hara, fresh off her highly successful run as Nellie Forbush in South Pacific at Lincoln Center Theater, returns to the New York Philharmonic following two previous appearances, including her acclaimed starring role as Eliza Doolittle in the Orchestra's 2007 production of My Fair Lady. Baritone Nathan Gunn returns after winning hearts as the swashbuckling Sir Lancelot in the Philharmonic's 2008 Camelot production and his featured role in last season's SONDHEIM: The Birthday Concert! The College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) Preparatory Department is proud to present the world premiere adaptation of 'The Last Dragon of Camelot,' a musical adapted for young actors. The authors of the musical are Alyn Cardarelli, a graduate of The Second City Training Center and co-founder of Emerald City Theatre, Chicago's largest theatre dedicated to families and Steve Goers, a versatile musician and performer who is a faculty member of the CCM Musical Theatre Department. They have revised the original show specifically for the CCM Prep Department Theatre Arts program by rewriting songs and script appropriate for middle school actors and singers. (more...)

This spring Arizona Theatre Company journeys to the New York boroughs and into Neil Simon's masterwork, LOST IN YONKERS, the fourth installment of ATC's AMERICA PLAYS! Celebrating Great American Stories series. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize and the Tony Award for Best Play, LOST IN YONKERS is as funny as it is poignant and is certain to leave you spellbound with laughter and tears. Featuring Tony Award-winner and Arizona favorite Judy Kaye, and directed by Samantha K. Wyer, LOST IN YONKERS plays in Tucson at the Temple of Music and Art from February 26 through March 19, 2011. It continues its run in Phoenix at the Herberger Theater Center from March 24 through April 10, 2011. The Boca Raton Theatre Guild will continue its extremely successful season with John Kander and Fred Ebb's classic musical, Cabaret. The Guild's recent production of Neil Simon's Broadway Bound consistently filled the Willow Theatre at Sugar Sand Park to capacity throughout its run.
