Grosse Pointe Theatre held the annual Clarence Awards Dinner on June 19th at MacRays Banquet Center in Harrison Township. The award is named for the first show GPT produced in 1948, Clarence, a comedy by Booth Tarkington. Awards went to GPT members from the Pointes and throughout Metro Detroit. (more...)

AVENUE Q to Close on the West End 3/28; Atherton Returns to Cast

Howard McGillin, Broadway's longest-running Phantom, will star in "The Broadway Musicals of 1947," which kicks off the eighth season of The Town Hall's critically acclaimed Broadway by the Year series. He will be joined by a powerhouse cast that includes two-time Tony nominee Marc Kudisch, and more of Broadway's great singer/dancers than in any other previous Broadway by the Year concert. Audiences will take a musical journey "back in time" on Monday, March 3 at 8PM, for a full evening of song and dance from Brigadoon, Finian's Rainbow, High Button Shoes, Street Scene, Allegro and more from The Great White Way of 1947.
