Center Theatre Group will participate in the 11th annual international 'Talk Like a Pirate Day,' Thursday, September 19 in honor of 'Peter and the Starcatcher,' which features pirate captain Black Stache and his crusty crew, Peter and the Lost Boys, mermaids and more. 'Peter and the Starcatcher' plays at the Ahmanson Theatre December 3, 2013, through January 12, 2014.

'Peter and the Starcatcher' by Rick Elice, based on the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson and directed by Roger Rees and Alex Timbers, comes to the Ahmanson Theatre, December 3, 2013 - January 12, 2014.

The producers of Peter and the Starcatcher announced today that the production has launched a special Instagram video contest to help celebrate the 11th Annual International Talk Like A Pirate Day on Thursday, September 19. The contest invites fans of the Tony Award-winning play to do their best Pirate impressions (Black Stache or other pirate voices accepted!), and explain why they think tickets to Peter and the Starcatcher are the ultimate treasure.

On this edition of 'In Focus', host Eden Lane spends time at the 'press day' for for the 1st National Tour of Peter and the Starcatcher, launching in Denver. Lane meets with Donyale Werle, who won the 2012 Tony Award for her Peter and the Starcatcher set design. SAN ANTONIO (August 19, 2013) - Peter and the Starcatcher, the five-time Tony Award winning musical play written by Tony Award nominee Rick Elice and directed by Tony Award-winner Roger Rees and Tony Award-nominee Alex Timbers, will play the Majestic Theatre for eight performances October 22-27. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m., tomorrow, Friday, August 23.

The producers of the audience and critics' favorite Peter and the Starcatcher announced today that Steve Rosen, who stepped in to play the role of Black Stache for certain performances during the show's Off-Broadway run at NYTW, will again step into the show, this time to take over the role of Smee, on Monday, July 8. Kevin Del Aguila will play his last performance on Sunday, July 7, before joining the cast of Love's Labours Lost at The Public Theater. Del Aguila returns to Peter and the Starcatcher onAugust 26.

Just yesterday, cast members from off-Broadway's Peter and the Starcatcher were on hand as Two Boots Pizza in Hell's Kitchen celebrated the unveiling of their May "Broadway Pizza" slice, "The Starcatcher."
