Following a sensational sell-out season at The Courtyard Theatre, the RSC's production of MATILDA THE MUSICAL transferred to London's West End in October 2011.

Roald Dahl's much-loved story bursts into life on stage in this brand new musical version by Dennis Kelly and award-winning musician and comedian Tim Minchin. Children and adults alike will be thrilled and delighted by the story of the special little girl with an extraordinary imagination.

Winner of 50 international awards, MATILDA THE MUSICAL is the story of an extraordinary little girl who, armed with a vivid imagination and a sharp mind, dares to take a stand and change her own destiny.

Matilda the Musical will perform on 'The Late Show with David Letterman' tomorrow night Tuesday June 11. Matilda the Musical opened to rapturous reviews in April and has received four Tony Awards, the Best Musical award from the New York Drama Critics Circle, and five Drama Desk Awards including Best Musical. Each of the four girls who share the title role (Sophia Gennusa, Oona Laurence, Bailey Ryon and Milly Shapiro) received a Tony Honor for Excellence in the Theater. 'The Late Show' airs on CBS at 11:35 PM, (Channel 2 in New York). (more...)
