The New York Philharmonic will present a semi-staged production of Kern & Hammerstein's Tony Award-winning musical Show Boat, November 5 - 8, 2014. Vanessa Williams will star as Julie, Julian Ovenden will star as Gaylord Ravenal, and Lauren Worsham will star as Magnolia, all in their Philharmonic debuts. Tim Realbuto's 54 Below Concert with Anneliese van der Pol scheduled for July 24th has been cancelled due to a scheduling commitment van der Pol could not postpone. However, the venue has asked Realbuto to perform a solo show instead.

"One Night with Fanny Brice," which opened Off-Broadway at St. Luke's Theater on 46th Street in 2011 and moved to the 13th Street Theater (50 W. 13th St., New York City) in 2013, will go on summer hiatus following the Monday, June 9th performance. The show will resume performances at the 13th Street Theater in September. This summer, the show will play at the Open Eye Theater (Amie Brockway, Artistic Director) in the Catskills. The limited engagement will play Roy Arias Stage II Theatre beginning tonight, April 23rd. Beautiful Soup is best known for reviving lost or oft-forgotten works, but occasionally presents workshops of new plays and musicals.
The New York Philharmonic will return to Bravo! Vail in Colorado for the Orchestra's 12th- annual summer residency there, performing six concerts July 18-25, 2014. Music Director Alan Gilbert will conduct three programs, July 18-20, featuring works by composers for whom he has advocated during his tenure, ranging from Nielsen to The Marie-Jose?e Kravis Composer-in- Residence Christopher Rouse. The other Philharmonic concerts will be conducted by Bramwell Tovey (July 23 and 25) and Ted Sperling (July 24), and will feature works by Copland, Gershwin, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, and Loesser, among others.

'That's So Raven' star Anneliese van der Pol has joined the cast of the highly anticipated industry reading of Martin and Realbuto's Ghostlight. Van der Pol will play the central role of Olive Thomas, joining previously announced Tony Award nominee Robert Cuccioli (Jekyll and Hyde), Rachel Bay Jones (Pippin), Jennifer Hope Wills (Wonderful Town), Trevor McQueen (Annie Get Your Gun), and Kimberly Faye Greenberg (One Night With Fanny Brice). The industry reading will take place on December 2nd at the famed New 42nd Street Studios. Ghostlight had a sold out and extended run at the Signature Theatre in 2011 as part of NYMF. The show has been revamped since then. Alison Holman will provide musical direction for the upcoming reading. Matthew Martin and Tim Realbuto wrote the book, music, and lyrics, and will also co-direct, the same duty they performed during the NYMF production.
Robert Cuccioli, the Tony nominated star of Jekyll and Hyde, will play Florenz Ziegfeld, Jr. in an upcoming industry reading of the musical Ghostlight. Ghostlight, which has book, music and lyrics by Matthew Martin and Tim Realbuto, tells the true story of Ziegfeld Follies girl and silent film star Olive Thomas, her rise to fame in the Follies alongside Fanny Brice, her affair with a married Ziegfeld, her Hollywood marriage to movie star Jack Pickford, and ultimately her tragic downfall which led to her mysterious death at age 25 in Paris.
