Due to audience demand, Florida Studio Theatre (FST) announces the extension of its compelling Summer Mainstage production, Black Pearl Sings! by Frank Higgins. Called “Dynamic,” “Powerful,” and “A joy to watch” by the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, Black Pearl Sings! is an inspiring historical drama about two women from very different backgrounds who are brought together by the power of music.

The fall 2023 outing will see the renowned four-piece head to Canada and Europe in addition to more U.S. cities beginning September 13th in Toronto. The 21-date North American leg will stop in Ottawa, Montreal, Wilkes-Barre, Harrisburg, Erie, Charleston, Wilmington, Shreveport, Baton Rouge, Fort Myers and many more.

Due to overwhelming demand, and on the heels of the first leg of their critically acclaimed Twenty | The Tour, multi-planum recording artists and American Idol favorites Ruben Studdard & Clay Aiken are hitting the road again for the second leg of their reunion tour.

 An artist who felt a strong connection to B.B. King—and whose guitar skills King greatly admired—will be the headliner for the grand reopening of Indianola’s historic Club Ebony on June 1-3, 2023. This summer, Chicago will be first to experience a reimagined production of The Who's Tommy when the original creators reunite at Goodman Theatre. Tony Award winners Pete Townshend and Des McAnuff, nearly 30 years after their epic pop-culture musical theater sensation first bowed on Broadway, have reconvened to tell the story of Tommy Walker for 2023 audiences.

DPAC has announced that Triangle Rising Stars, central North Carolina's High School Musical Theatre Awards will take place on May 18th, 2023 at 7:30 PM with host, Clay Aiken and special guest Tony Award Winner, Beth Leavel.  Triangle Rising Stars is presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina.

Artistic Director Tony Prince and Producing Director Richard McGrew announce that The Liminal Playhouse is going out with a bang with its nineteenth Louisville premiere and final production: “Edward Gant’s Amazing Feats of Loneliness” by Anthony Neilson opening May 26. Written in 2008 but set in 1881, this play is the final performance of a Victorian theatre troupe led by an opium addict. An odd combination of melodrama, comedy, and fairy tale, it is a strange, and at times grotesque, exploration of loneliness, love, memory, the ephemeral nature of life and of theatre itself.

American Stage Theatre Company Presents SKELETON CREW. It's 2008, and one of the last auto plants in Detroit is on shaky ground. The remaining factory workers are living paycheck-to-paycheck and now each of the workers must navigate the possibility of foreclosure. As power dynamics shift, and they are pushed to the limits of survival the line between blue collar and white collar gets blurred.  With moments of heartbreak and humor, SKELETON CREW is a beautiful homage to the American blue collar worker.

A new wave of African American Theatre is sweeping through mid-Michigan with Passing Strange. That's right, the electrifying rock and roll musical that took Broadway by storm in 2008- winning multiple Drama Desk Awards and the 2008 Tony Award for Best Book of a Musical-will find a home in Flint, MI at Flint Local 432 for three nights December 6, 7, & 8, 2019.
