Sylvester Stallone was an unexpected guest at the SISTER ACT opening last night. Not one to frequest the Broadway red carpets, Stallone revealed on The View this morning that part of the reason for his attendance was because he's thinking about bringing one of his movies to the stage. Though no announcement has been made regarding a new stage adaptation, back in 2007, Stallone was busy developing ROCKY: THE MUSICAL. Could Rocky Balboa on the Great Way Way be a reality once again?

By special arrangement with Daryl Roth and adapted for the stage by Tony Award winner Rupert Holmes (The Mystery of Edwin Drood), A Time to Kill brings the heat of the Deep South to Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater. Directed by Ethan McSweeny (Broadway's Gore Vidal's 'The Best Man'), A Time to Kill runs May 6-June 19, 2011 in the Kreeger Theater.

First, let me admit, I adore the music of Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens. My introduction to them began at the Olney Theatre Center with their musical farce Lucky Stiff over twenty years ago. Then there was the incredible Broadway hit Once on this Island, My Favorite Year, the mega musical Ragtime, followed by the poignant A Man of No Importance and the challenging Dessa Rose, and in 2007, The Glorious Ones.
