Classic Stage Company (CSC), under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Executive Director Jessica R. Jenen, will present two-time Academy Award-winner Dianne Wiest in THE FOREST, by Alexander Ostrovosky, translated by Kathleen Tolan, and directed by Brian Kulick, beginning performances Friday, April 23 at CSC with an official press opening Thursday, May 6 at 7pm. THE FOREST will also star Obie Award-winning actor John Douglas Thompson, who earned great acclaim last year for his title role performance in Othello at Theatre for a New Audience. When the weather cooperates as sweetly it did on opening night (May 28, 2010), there's nothing that can compare to the experience of sitting under the stars in Forest Park and watching an ensemble of top notch performers and technicians take on the task of staging one of William Shakespeare's classic works. Shakespeare Festival St. Louis is presenting Hamlet this time around, and it's a splendid production that will provide attendees with the opportunity to catch a performance of what may well be the most famous play in history. GAN-e-meed Theatre Project's All-Female Production of HAMLET Closes 5/30

GAN-e-meed Theatre Project launches their first season with a modern interpretation of Shakespeare's Hamlet featuring an all-female cast, performing May 7-30. In honor of Mother's Day, tickets for mothers for opening weekend (May 7-9) are $10. Producing Artistic Director SerahRose Roth leads the cast as the prince who, charged with a mission by his father's ghost, must unravel his family's mysteries with spies lurking at every turn.
