The production, September 30-October 26, reunites the playwright with director Leah C. Gardiner, who worked together on the OBIE Award-winning 2011 production of born bad. generations features a 12-person community chorus led by music director Bongi Duma (The Lion King). Lehmann Maupin is pleased to present a group of seminal films and video sculptures by pioneering artists Gilbert & George. Among the longest-enduring artist duos, they have had sustained influence on the contemporary art world for the past fifty years. The exhibition Films and Video Sculptures, 1972-1981 will be shown in the gallery's 201 Chrystie Street location and represents an integral, transitional link between the artists' early art and their later, more widely known large-scale pictures. This exhibition is the artists' fifth show with Lehmann Maupin.

Delivered by a top-caliber cast in an intimate setting, The Trial of Oscar Wilde focuses on the tragic shackling, public scrutiny, and subsequent imprisonment of the homosexual playwright/writer Oscar Wilde (1854-1900). A script based on Wilde's correspondence, plays, and short stories (performed by Broadway's Michael Halling as Oscar Wilde and esteemed Robert Ian Mackenzie as Lord Queensbury) provides a dramatic backdrop for chamber music by French and English composers from the late 19th and early 20th centuries including Chausson's masterful Concerto for violin, piano and string quartet, and works by Satie, Elgar, Faure and Franck in performances by the dynamic Amphion String Quartet, violinist Susie Park, pianist Max Barros and a romping barbershop quartet.

To close its 47th Season, Marin Theatre Company will produce the West Coast premiere of Failure: A Love Story by the 'hugely talented Chicago writer' (Chicago Tribune) Philip Dawkins. Directed by MTC's artistic director Jasson Minadakis, this 'enchanted and enchanting' play about love and loss will feature five actors playing multiple characters, using puppets and playing live music both original (by MTC's frequent collaborator Chris Houston, a Berkeley-based composer and musician) and from the era of the play - 1920s Chicago.
Critically acclaimed theatre company Third Man Theatre are working at the Old Red Lion for the first time, with the London transfer of their brand new full-length show, Mugs Arrows, which was developed and premiered at the Bike Shed Theatre, Exeter as part of their Residency programme in 2013 receiving rave reviews. French harpsichordist Olivier Baumont, professor at the Paris Conservatoire, is featured in a solo suite, joins violinist and artistic director Ryan Brown and viola da gambist Kenneth Slowik in one of the composer's Pièces de clavecin en concert, and performs transcriptions from Les Indes Galantes with harpsichordist Andrew Appel. Sopranos Gaële Le Roi and Kelly Ballou, and baritone David Newman, join to perform the lively Canons and Airs published in the composer's historic Treatise on Harmony.
